"Fake Steve Jobs" "8x10" original oil painting by Nitrozac

I'm pleased to present for your bidding pleasure my latest painting, entitled "Fake Steve Jobs". It could easily pass as the real Steve Jobs, however, I painted it as the Fake Steve Jobs. I painted it in a traditional portrait style, and imho, I believe the result is insanely spectacular. The colours, texture, and luminoscity are very impressive! When you view the painting close-up, it's quite enjoyable to look at the brushstrokes. However, be warned... the portrait is a little scary in how Steve's eyes seem to follow you around the room. It's a beautiful object. I love creating them, if I do say so myself. :-P

Click here to bid on painting.

Fake Steve Job's blog has been getting a lot of press lately. For the longest time no one knew who was behind the humourous and entertaining posts. Recently, the mysterious author was revealed. It turns out that Daniel Lyons, senior editor of Forbes magazine, is the real man behind the curtain of Steve Job's Secret Diary.

For the profile picture on the Fake Steve Jobs blog, FSJ uses a press shot of the real Steve Jobs. For some reason, it perfectly suits the site, especially with the "Negative people upset me" line under it. But last week I noticed the photo was replaced by a cartoon version of Steve Jobs. I was so upset! The cartoon was quite good, but I really was looking forward to painting what we've all come to associate with FSJ. Many of FSJ's fans felt the same way, and protested in the blog's comments. Thankfully, the original photo is now back where it belongs. :-)

Who knows, maybe you'll be bidding against the Real and the Fake Steve Jobs for the painting! I'm sure both of them will want to get their hands on this beautiful painting!

Snaggy and I did this comic about Fake Steve Jobs in this JoT, enjoy!

Details: "Fake Steve Jobs" is Nitrozac's 29th painitng of her Painting Blog. It's an original oil painting, on 8 x 10 inch stretched canvas. The painting will be dry and ready to ship a couple weeks after the auction ends, depending on the drying conditions and such. The back of the painting will contain the title, the date painted, Nitrozac's signature, and a fingerprint for authenticity.

Best of luck to all bidders!

Cool new blog

I just did a portrait for this site; You Blog Like A Girl. I checked it out, and it looks to be a really cool blog, and I really think this girl is on to something. And, yes, I'd like to flog my portraits. ;-P The style and colour of it is all her idea, and I think it looks pretty good, if I do say so myself! :-D

WeightLoss Shows

I'm kinda into watching weightloss shows. I don't know why, maybe it's fun to watch people worse off than me and getting yelled at, and then losing weight and looking better!
Here's a list of my faves;
Celebrity Fit Club; Watching it right now. Seems interesting.
You are What you Eat; I love this show, but I haven't seem to be able to get in on my channels lately.
X-Weighted; They don't seem to have a website, but, it's a good show. Inspiring.
The Last 10 pounds Boot Camp; also a lack of a website, but the show is good, very good advice.
Turn Back Your Body Clock; This show is great, it takes a scientific view of losing weight and getting rid of bad habits. They focus on quitting drinking and smoking too. It's quite fascinating. Also on our forums we have lots of weightloss threads going on, check 'em out, put in your 2 bits. fs's Recipes: Low fat/salt, vegetarian, and vegan, Business Attire's exercise plans, Stereo's I just took another step... BooBooKitty's Hypertension, and just for SuperFans, Nitrozac's Weightloss is hard work. Enjoy!

The 11th Hour review!

Leo!Leonardo DiCaprio's The 11th Hour is ticking closer and closer, so we sent our intrepid New York film reviewer dragonman to the exclusive press screening to see it first!

The film is a new feature length documentary concerning the environmental crises caused by human actions and their impact on the planet. It explores how humanity has arrived at this moment; how we live, how we impact the earth’s ecosystems, and what we can do to change our course.

The film has lofty goals, a pretty face behind it, and is jam packed with some of world's most prominent thinkers and activists, including Mikhail Gorbachev and Stephen Hawking. But how does it stack up as a date movie?

His review is here!
