David Pogue to star in "It's all Geek to Me".
Our favorite New York Times tech columnist is about to start shooting a new TV series It's All Geek to Me. The fantabulous Mr. Pogue made the announcement in his blog earlier this week. Tentatively airing in November, the show will appear on at least two of Discovery's channels: Discovery Times, Discovery HD, and (perhaps) Discovery Europe. What's the show about? In David's words "Think "funny cooking show" except instead of whipping up food, I'll be whipping up technology projects!"
Hmmm, well, even though I know they stole the idea of the show from our David Pogue Living Joy of Tech comic, I'm still going to watch. :-D Pogue's New York Times video blogs and his spots on Good Morning America are fantastic, and we can't wait to see him bring his infectious and entertainingly geeky style to a regular and longer timeslot. Congrats David!

Tree cutting on the webcam!
Right now there's some tree cutting happening over on the webcam. Check it out, the arborists are removing a giant clump of maple trees that have started to die off and are becoming a hazard. Over the course of the day you can watch the view get better. :-)
UPDATE: Darn it! They are leaving the rest until next week. :(
