The Joy of Geek Culture
Last week Nitrozac and Snaggy had the pleasure of speaking at the University of Advancing Technology, in Phoenix Arizona, as part of the Technology Forum 2008.
They discussed and illustrated the history of the word "geek", talked about its present meaning, and about geek culture in general. Their message was that one should be proud to be a geek today, to be part of a rich and diverse culture that is doing such world-changing things.
The pair also talked about their work on The Joy of Tech, and demonstrated how they create a comic with the help of the audience. Check out the full story, including the portrait drawings and finished comic here.
