Why is it so that girls can lure guys into thinking that it was their idea, while guys come up with these lame lines when they pick up girls?

Why does alcohol make guys think they're girls' gift from heaven? (thank you. Mr. Creepy)

And why ... um, I forgot the next one... I think this will do.

Oh, wise Zorro, please answer a humble geekette.

Why do we park in a driveway and and drive in a park way?

Why is that buns come in packs of 8 and hotdogs come in packs of 10?

Why does Micheal Jakson want so badly to be a white woman?

Why is the sky blue?

What is the Big Oh time of the Merge-Sort function?

What is the largest number that we small humans have counted up to?

Why does Tux always look so happy?

When will everyone see that Bill Gates is brainwashing them?

Have you ever seen an entire movie is rewind?

How about Fast forward?

Want to take a survey?

Not to beat you about the head and shoulders with semantics, but 42 is the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything. I only correct the phrasing because a) it's important to the narrative structure of Adam's work, and b) because clearly, 42 doesn't answer the question "What is the meaning of life?"

(paraphrased
"THE answer? To the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything? You're not going to like it"
"Just tell us"
"42"
"42? so what's the question?"
The quest then continues to find that question.

Actually, I guess it could be the answer to that question, but that was be an entirely unsatisfying resolution to the search for what that question is.

A: Girls have more power, though they don't always get a fair shake in the business world. They are smarter at relationships than men and will always have the edge no matter how smart the guy may be. They will weaken men with their charms and ultimately control all their thoughts. Just face it, girls are superior. To find a girl who will allow a man to think he is in control is the true path to happiness. The only reason guys have bad pick up lines is mainly because they have been compromised by her charms and no longer have the will to resist, therefore his thought porcess is no longer functioning properly. Guys who's heads are thick as bricks usually have the best pick up lines.

Why does alcohol make guys think they're girls' gift from heaven? (thank you. Mr. Creepy)
A:It impairs their judgement and frees up inhibitions. Most drunks become the person they wish they were in real life, that is one of the many reasons I quit drinking.

A: Time has eroded the meanings of the words. It happens alot, snd eventually it gets confusing. The original parkways used to lead to actual parks. It made it a lot easier to find a good place to picnic when all you had to do was follow the way to the park or parkway. Driveway was the place where one would drive the car up to the house long before houses were so close to the street. It let people know that this is where you pull up so they wouldn't drive through the yard.

Why is that buns come in packs of 8 and hotdogs come in packs of 10?
A: Profit, It is proven they sell more of each since people will always try to have enough buns for the dogs and don't mind throwing away any extra buns in comparison to having a bunless dog.

Why does Micheal Jakson want so badly to be a white woman?
A:So he can more easily seduce young boys.

Why is the sky blue?
A:So when I tell a girl her eyes are a blue as the deepest sky, I won't be called a liar.

What is the Big Oh time of the Merge-Sort function?
A epends on the girl, When I perform a Merge-Sort function on a girl she usually reaches the Big Oh in under 10 minutes.

What is the largest number that we small humans have counted up to?
A:About half what a large human like Me has counted to. Of course, I have been known to cheat.

Why does Tux always look so happy?
A:If Tux looked sad it just wouldn't sell as good. Besides, Tux tried windoze and knows the days are numbered before the world realizes there is a superior system.

When will everyone see that Bill Gates is brainwashing them?
A: when he hangs them out to dry.

Have you ever seen an entire movie is rewind?
A: several, I find the plot easier to follow that way.

How about Fast forward?
A:even more often, it is best when used on chick-flicks.

Want to take a survey?
A: no, but I think I just did.

Many years later after the dam bursts from poor engineering, they will be ground up with the rest of the rubble never to be found. Most likely they will be mistaken for workers who perished during construction......Z

Ok, Zorro-here's the real question that no one seems to know the answer to(my first question was just the only one I could think of that you couldn't corrupt):
what's a "spinner"?(as in,"she's a spinner"), from Ally McBeal.

Nayt, since Zorro probably won't give you a strait answer, I'll give you one that (at least I think) is pretty on the mark, but it may be a little mysterious yet, I'm not sure.

I can't answer your question precisely, and, as unfortunate as it may be, I can only answer your question by posing a question to you. This may not make since the first time you read it, but read it over a couple times and you may start to realize the significance of my question. I was once in your place, I thought sex was nasty and I could not for the life of me understand why anyone would want to have sex; I figured out the answer, but it's not something that can be explained, it must be expierenced. (Mind you, I am still a virgin.) If you still don't fully get it, perhaps I can explain further what I mean, so if you want me to, just say so. And now to the questions...

Okay, how to approach this subject lightly?....I'll answer each point separately.

Firstly, would you want to [have an orgasm]? Yes, absolutely! It is the most amazingly pleasureable feeling ever! It can not be explained accurately enough (a 2000 page book couldn't explain it accurately enough!), but I will try anyway. It's like every single sensory nerve in your body explodes (it doesn't literally explode) with an amazing warm fuzzy good feeling, it creates a complete sensory overload, it is utterly amazing! Afterward you try to remember exactly what it felt like, but you can't recall it in great enough detail because so much happens so quickly. It is absolutely fantastic! Yes, you (should) want to have one.

Secondly, is [an orgasm] anything like masterbating? Well, no, they are two different terms, but they are related. Masturbating is the act of manually stimulating your reproductive organs. The goal of masturbating (almost always) is to reach orgasm. Pornogophy (from an application sense) is simply a device to aid in the achievement of orgasm. The goal of reaching orgasm is to feel (really really) good. The physical goal of orgasm is to procreate (ejaculation occurs during the orgasm).

Orgasm is also the end goal of sexual intercourse. As I stated earlier, the phsical goal of orgasm is to procreate. From a strictly eloutionary standpoint, orgasm evolved as a means to ensure the continuation of the species. From a strictly cretionary standpoint, God placed millions of super-sensitive nerve endings in our reproductive organs to give us orgasms as a way to ensure that mankind (humankind?) would always inhabit the Earth by enjoying intercourse so much that it would overshadow even the perils of childbirth. This also goes with the idea that an orgasm achieved from sex (as opposed to one achieved from masturbation) is infinately better (although I have no personal expierience to base this on, I still have no reason to believe it is false).

One can not truely understand what is so cool about sex if one has not expierenced an orgasm; for it is the orgasm that makes sex so cool. My expierence is a perfect example. (I will spare the intamate details.) I used to be like you, Nayt, I thougt sex was nasty and dirty and icky, I couldn't figure out why anyone would want to engage in such an act. Then, the summer after my Freshman year of High School, it happened, I had my first orgasm. My first three thoughts afterward were, "WOAH!!!!," "Was THAT an orgasm?," and "Oh, so THAT'S why everyone is so interested in sex!," in that order.

I do not believe that masturbation is a sin, you are simply enjoying the gift of orgasm that God gave to you. It can't hurt you or anyone else (unlike premarital sex which can carry all sorts of emotional baggage); it won't give you hairy palms, it won't make you insane, it doesn't cause acne, it doesn't cause you to become impotent (in fact, it can help increase your sperm count), it simply can't hurt you. <flame shield>I do believe, however, that pornogaphy is a sin. It can hurt the person in the picture, and it can give the viewer a skiewed version of true male/female roles; there are other points I could make as well, but I will not simply for the sake of not making this post any longer!</flame shield>

I hope this helps shed some light on the subject for you, Nayt. The world is out there; sex, drugs, & rock N' roll all exist, you can't hide from them forever, so instead you should learn about them and make up your own mind.

I think it's about time someone called Nayt's bluff. He claims he's never heard of Al Pacino - claims he didn't find Python amusing - nor the Simpsons. Now this. I smell something fishy. The only question is: 'what could anyone gain from pretending to be as innocent as Nayt portrays himself?' He's obviously amused by the idea of watching others struggling to deal with something they're not used to - i.e., someone who is so far removed from what they themselves regard as a normal quota of background cultural references. This is an obscure variety of kink - one that I don't truly understand.

How about it, Nayt - what's the truth?

Not all of us are narcissists Nayt!

Though I do agree that porn is kinda gross. Maybe that's because I'm a girl and all the porn I've encountered so far was targeted towards men. I wouldn't call all porn evil - most of it is between consenting adults. There are some brands of pornography out there though that really do belong in the sin bin (such as child porn).

I am suprised that you answered so many of those seriously before diving into zorro mode...

Spungo, I don't think that is enough to doubt Nayt completly, I know people my age who are as "innocent" as him, so I'm not about to question him, yet. And even so, there are enough people who have no prob with talking about "not innocent stuff," unfortunatly I don't want to offend anyone, so I decline to post anything more on the subject at this time, except that you can find out about a lot of things on U of columbias Go Ask Alice... Have fun Nayt, and remember Jocyln Elders 4-step program:
1.) Lubricate
2.) UP
3.) DOWN
4.) GOTO 2, until climax.

sorry, sometimes if I don't have a correct answer I just make something up and hope it sounds good. can you believe I have never actually encountered such things. if I had, i would definately have given you a good answer. I am certain there are some here who have more than enough knowlege to give you a correct answer. My specialty is life and behaviour. I haven't had much experience in other fields. It may be hard to believe, but this is the first computer I owned that could surf the net. I am way behind where I should be. Life got in the way of My more techie interests and I fell out of the loop. I am trying to get back up to speed, but the drug use from teen years has impaired some of My abilities to grasp meanings from books. I need to have most things either explained or shown to Me before I can learn it. Once I got it, I can usually improve it. Learning from reading a book is possible but i can spend all day trying to translate what someone is trying to say so that I can understand what is going on. I also have a hard time staying focused. My mind really strays. I have been know to space out during a conversation. This is something that can be traced back as far as I can remember. I have always been a bit strange, but I really am trying to get back into the swing of things. Someday I hope to be able to afford night school so I can get proper training on the computer. I really want to get out of aviation and into programming or design..............Z

Depends on your tastes and situation. Technically speaking, you could live most anywhere you wanted. I would suggest here in the Seattle area. there are a lot of geeks in the area and many places where they congregate. I once sat in a coffee shop near pike place market where I overheard a group of web designers arguing which features would gain the most attention. You might not like this answer but it is the one given to Me by some of the old military guys from work. They tell Me the term spinner was used to descibe thin, petite, waifish, little ,prostitutes or whores who could be spun around on one's penis. I think that fits the sexual attitude of the show very well. I hope it is not too vulgar an explanation but it is the only definition I could find that fit in. A: It really really feels good. Not everyone will feel the same way, you have to accept that. Those of us that do enjoy just really like the feeling and intimacy with our partners. The climax can be so powerful for those that enjoy it that words cannot explain it properly.

and porn, whats the point. That is some nasty stuff. Why would people want to sit and lookd a naked people all day. all they need to do is look in the mirror.

A: Depends on the person, there can be any number of possible answers. Some people are just total perverts who really get off on seeing naked bodies. Some are just curious. I love the female body. It is the greatest work of art ever created. My personal favortie are the tiny women. I have a subscription to a magazine called Tight. Most of the women in there are around 5 ft and 100 lbs. I like amazons too, but for some reason a well developed woman under 5ft looks so right. I think the smaller proportions help to exagerate the curves. Tall women seem more stretched out for some reason. I think tall women look better if they have some muscle tone to them. I know I can't ever see naked perfection every day so I get my fix through porn. In the way some people look at hot cars, fine art, animals, nature, the new mac, I look at women. I don't get any sexual pleasure from the magazines, I just like the female form. Everyone has something that is visually pleasing, for Me it is naked women. obviously you do not feel the need to view naked bodies. I bet there is something you look at which you enjoy to see. People see and do things they like, you don't need to understand the why. Just accept they do and move on. I personally never understood some peoples infactuation with human waste. I really don't want to understand it either. As long as they enjoy it and they don't try to get Me involved, I have no problem letting them enjoy it on their own. I look in the mirror all the time. I rarely look any different. I need to see something a lot more female and I need variety. the mirror just doesn't cut it. Your better off letting the people do what makes them feel good and concentrate on what makes you happy. The only people we need to do something about, are the ones who are breaking the law. Life's too short to understand everyone's fetish, and some are better off not being understood...............Z

I knew you wanted the dirt, but I felt bad for the youngsters who might have been better off not knowing. I had never heard the term used before either, but I guess the military guys used to use it all the time into the early 70's. Now I have to get the rotating Ally Mcbeal image out of My head. Oh the agony >;o) .....Z

My situation is upstate New York. Lots of nice geeks here, but they're all stuck in their holes (as I tend to be stuck in mine...) I'm actually from the Seattle area. Much as I love it, if I spent the summer there I'd be more or less obligated to live at home.

Sorry about the BS question. I was just venting some frustration as I have yet to find a nice, cheap sublet for the summer.

Odd thing is, I'm a total biogeek yet, for all the crosstalk on these forums about geek guys hunting geek girls no one's exactly lined up at my door.

Not to step on your toes, Zorro, but if I may jump in for a moment:

Xanthine, where in upstate NY? I'm from Binghamton and could ask around if that's anywhere near you.
Let me know... I'd love to help.

You seem pretty obsessed with it.

Okay, okay, on to my questions....

Should I wear the mint green lipstick today or the bright gold?

also...

Should I post my "Baywatch: Beauty & Brains" picture of me?

and lastly...

Will I ever find a geek guy?

Aww, you found me out.My name is really Brian and I really a 4th year psychology student at Ohio State. The whole purpose of signing on this board was to chart reactions to things that are not social norms. Such as the sex, religion and The Simpsons. I am in a work group of 4 people. we have all take turns writing the posts to a set personality type that we put together. We added the Name Nayt to the end of each post so allow us to make a connection with you. The spelling of the name was carefully picked because it also was not a social norm. This may also help explain the large number of posts made to the boards, as we were really trying to make ourselves know in s short amount of time. our project has been slowly coming to an end, and you have provided us with plenty of material for our project. with any luck this will be one heck of a senior project.

I think that fits the sexual attitude of the show very well. I hope it is not too vulgar an explanation but it is the only definition I could find that fit in. Sorry it wasn't something cleaner.........Z

are we really that hard to find (geeks)? it seems the ratio of geek guys to grrls is about 500:1, and since we're geeks, it's not like we're generally attractive or anything
i know that most geek guys are pretty self-conscious around grrls of any type...
