Twinkle, was that just a "I'll post so that I get on the top of page three?" or were you really going to say something?

i think she was really going to say something. You can never really be sure when it will start a new page. Or can you. I can't at least, then again i have not really looked for a pattern.

Actually, I was going to say something but I had to get off the computer right then. I was going to finish the post really quickly, but I accidently pushed the send button, so,..sorry
Anywho, here's what my perfect-looking man would be like:

- [short] black hair or dark brown (usually messy)
- green or blue (preferabely deep-colored) eyes
- glasses
- Irish background of any...kind...I don't know what I'm talking about(preferred since they can't control it)
- Not too muscular but not too lanky (as long as they're in good health)
- very nerdy w/ a great love for computers (so they can teach me )
- wears silked-screened or 'geeky' shirts
- Hmm...I guess that's it for looks anywho

...Yes. Oh, and in case you're wondering, Cockroach, I didn't list some of those things just because of you...hehe, I used to have a crush on Harry Potter! He's not Celtic, but close enough.

Heh, I figured that this whole thing wasn't about me for a few reasons...

Well, for one, you told me. For two, all my shirts are chosen at random from a pile on my floor. I don't know exactly how many of them get there in the first place.

And I'm still learning about computers.

But Celts still rock.

When I say "still learning about computers," I'm more referring to the fact that I've still not mastered a few of the finer bits of mine. I have yet to learn all that stuff in Linux as well...

Hmm, well, let's look at the list regarding myself:
-Varying length dark blond (ash blond, I've been told) hair - I let it go a bit before getting a haircut; I've got a bit of a 'wave' in the front, and I'm lazy
-Brown eyes
-Glasses - always, quite the lack of sight without them, though I'd still be able to appreciate your beauty without them
-~12.5% Irish
-Thin, with some acquired strength from moving computers around
-Quite geeky, a lover of Linux [proudly posting with Konqueror (3) right now]; Tux mug to my right
-Occasionally wear geeky t-shirts, but I usually dress semi-casual, dark long sleeve shirts, or polo shirts. I prefer to be presentable at my job, and it's just something about me. Posting in a t-shirt and Docker's right now.
So, I'm not sure how this is according to your standards, but I'll put it out there, because I'd rather do this than my assignments, and studying for finals, and perhaps a local geek girl might see this. Oh yeah, and I'm 20, so I might be a little old for you.

I would also like to throw a question out to the ladies: I know I've heard the chant that beards/mustaches are verboten/disliked, yet a bit of stubble is desireable - any elaboration on this? Lately, I've been being good and shaving everyday, but I wouldn't mind going for a few days without it, and it speeds up my morning. I can usually go a day without shaving and look decent due to the clean shave of the Mach 3, except around my neck. I'll eventually break down and buy an electric shaver, but I love the ease and really clean shave of a blade.

Well, dragonman, I can only speak for myself, but there's something about the feel of a little stubble brushing against my neck when a man is kissing it that makes me crazy.

I have a silly thought on the line of attractivness that I want to know your ideas about... Freaks and Geeks. On web searchs for "geek" or "nerd" I always get a number of "Freak" pages or "Goth" stuff. Now, I know a number of fairly attractive Goths, and I am attracted to gark hair and eyes; but I don't understand exsesive peircings. I used to not like the "artificial pigment," and poking holes in the body (even just the ears); but for some reason I don't mind it as much anymore... In fact, I must admit to finding some peircings attractive; and there isn't any clear reason for my switch of position, and it is contrary to my belief about Masks.

So, how many Geek are attracted to freaks and/or goths?

With every passing year, i've matured to the point that looks first is a taboo thought. I would like a down-to-earth, open-minded type of woman. But yes, in terms of looks, Long hair makes me go YOWZAHS!!

Attracted to goths? Sure. It's as much about the attention that goths give to their appearance as it is the music/culture. Often you see human pincushions, it's true, but often you see nicely put together clothes, hair, accessories; things most people wouldn't think to put together, but it works on them.

What do *I* find attractive?
-Good hygiene, easy on the cologne
-Some attention to appearance - knowing what looks good on you, picking clothes that give other people some idea of what you're about. You don't have to spend alot of money on clothes, simply matching the color of your belt to your shoes goes a long way, believe me.
-Having smarts & a broad range of interests. If you only have one interest or you seem to be a passive consumer of mainstream culture, I'm not going to be interested
-Funny is good
-Reasonably healthy, weight/height proportionate, though I'll take 20 pounds overweight over 20 pounds underweight anyday.
-Symetrical facial features that are relatively in proportion to one another; sometimes, however, an unconventional facial feature can be very attractive, depending on the person.

A whole lot of leeway there, I know.

what i look for in a girl is first personality second inteligence third appearance. appearance is pretty loose...i like a girl with a little meat on her bones but not excessive hair i have no preferences tho the girl of my dreams (sad for me she wants to stay buddy buddy with me) (yes that means i know the girl of my dreams) has wild firey red hair and a personality to match hight dosnt matter i prefer a girl that dosnt use makeup, or uses it sparingly, i prefer a girl who dosnt always try to have the "perfect" appearance i like freckles glasses are good if they suit the girl, not a must but a nice extra(dont know why, confuses me to be honest) my preferences on personality is whether it suits the girl...i like the quiet shy type and the energetic outgoing "life of the party" type (man im kinda both sides of the spectrum arent i =). the only MUST HAVE is interest in computers AND gaming....or at least teh ability to pretend ....interest in anime is always a plus too. to summerize i like computer geeks/gamers like me and ive only met one (see girl of my dreams above) the search continues

hmm i dont think my previous post was detailed enuf (lol) i also like soft eyes and a kind soul (no religous stuff implied just nice ppls ) the girl of my dreams(not refering specifically to one mentioned in previous post but it is true about her) is someone that i can be around and have fun interesting conversations even if we really arent talking about anything in general....she's someone that i can be bestfriends with, someone whom i can share my likes and dislikes with....someone who i can just be near and feel happy just because im near her....someone who just completes my life....ok im gettin sappy...again to summerize i hope people have more than one soulmate in the world cause i already found one and screwed it up by becoming friends first

Well, as much as I love New York, perhaps I should visit Washington, it seems like an interesting place. Seriously, though, I would love to visit Seattle some time (mmmm, coffee... and I'm not just talking about Starbuck's). Then again, the evil M$ is there too, and I don't want to be around that.
