wow, ok, i just discovered the google thing.see http://www.geekculture.com/ultimatebb/Forum9/HTML/000606.html so i see this new thing on here i don't know. it was ching ching pow. so i select the text and do a google search on it. Hoping that i may figure out what it was. To my great disapointment it did not help at all. So will someone please tell me what it is, I tried google and all it had were links to kung fu. They aren't the same are they? Nayt ------------------ IP: Logged |

quote: Darn it you would have to pick something that google doesn't have good links for. Now I have to actually explain it. Ching-ching pow is an onomatopoeic phrase based upon the sound that a pump action gun makes during the firing process. The ching-ching is the loading of the cartridge into the chamber and the pow is the shot. Because the sound also is vaguely reminiscent of an oriental phrase it is somewhat amusing to group it with the martial arts fighting styles. LifetimeTrekker then added to the humor in the thread by refering to the infamous Ginsu knives that have been advertised on television for about 20 years. Oh well it is never as funny when it is explained. I am happy though since I found a very strange link on google while looking up ginsu... IP: Logged |

Nayt - if it helps, I'd not heard of Gin Su, ching ching pow, nor any of the other stuff I see around (like Ann Margret), so it isn't just you - Uilleann IP: Logged |

oh, well, since you put it that way. The Gin sue thing i kinda got, i knew it had something to do with cooking. So that made it funny. The rest of it was just beyond me.I fugured since zorro said it, that it must have had something to do with sex. But hey, since i did not find anything on google, i figured it was about sex, so i am happy to know it was not. Nayt ------------------ IP: Logged |

Sex and guns. Zorro, you must enjoy the opening sequence of any James Bond movie. Congratulations ajax_r, you've taken your first step into a larger world. It only gets more difficult, painful, and fun from here. What art do you practice anyways? ------------------ IP: Logged |

Xanthine: I practice My Jhong Law Horn (english approximation). It's a form of Northern Shaolin Kung Fu! It's mostly based on deception, completely different than the stuff you saw Bruce Lee doing. :P mephisto: *ahem* I beg to differ. The more I practice, the more it hurts! ahh... but that is why i love it... :P And the better I become, the more difficult the work I have to do becomes, so... IP: Logged |

quote: Well, I've found parts to be difficult, mainly because I was and am not a natural so what skills I have I had to work for. The painful part is due to a knee problem that I developed from over-training. When I start making a "war face" in class, it's to scare myself out of screaming in agony as I do a snap kick with my front leg in a back stance. The pain is also the stiffness that sets in after a rough class. The fun, well, the fun is why I keep on going becasue believe it or not I enjoy that stuff. I also enjoy the cute brown belt when he comes to class. Oh, and ajax, I do aikikai-stlye aikido (though there's no dojo here so I only get to train when I go home ). I've got a black belt in that. I also do shotokan karate. I have a purple belt in that. When I was less than five feet tall I did tae kwon do, but I quit when my family moved 'cuz I didn't like it. I had a blue belt with a red stripe (~ my current rank in shotokan karate). Yes, I am a junkie. And no, I have yet to break anything, but I have pulled a few things that should not be pulled (like a hip flexor, now that was fun), and tweaked a few things that should not be tweaked (like simething under/around my shoulder blade, even more fun, especially when I tried to play viola afterwards). ------------------ IP: Logged |

Well, I just consulted some women I trust, who neither of us ever WANT to see each other naked (ick!). This group did NOT include my wife (however, I have both, so it wouldn't matter). However, the consensus is, provided they have whatever emotional needs the desire from the relationship, they care about technique more than size. However, big is still better than small, no matter what the skill level (so, skilled and small = better than big and unskilled, but skilled and big = better than skilled and small without a question). I think size is an easier thing to brag about than "what you do with it" however, which would explain people bragging about it. Of course it matters, I just don't think it matters most. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I think we should create a standard test so people can certify thier skills. Imagine how much fun it would be to share your scores with your mates. I see definate profitability here, and it would help people connect. maybe you will hear things like " he may not look like much but I heard he scored very high on his XXX-SAT's". of course I am referring to the XXX Sexual Aptitude Test.........Z IP: Logged |

Of course I would take the test. There would be both a written and oral exam. The finally would be the physical application of your knowlege. Of course, the instructor would have to inspect your form........Z IP: Logged |
