My friend Charlene went to see Spiderman yesterday in Times Square and who should walk in right behind her but Stan Lee and Ann-Margaret!
They bought their tickets and sat 2 rows in front of her.
She said they seemed to enjoy the movie. (I would hope so!)
When it was over, he hailed her (Ann-Margaret, not Charlene) a cab, then got his own.
What a gentleman!
I don't know why I got such a kick out of this...

Geez, Nayt, using a search engine won't kill you!

Stan Lee is the man who created the character of Spiderman (and most of Marvel Comics' stable of characters!)

Ann Margaret is an entertainer of some small fame.

I have a fear of search engines. I am not sure why, but i don't want THEM knowing what i am looking for. That and it is always easier to just ask you guys and wait for a responce then to go find a search engine, type in the name, then go through the web pages to figure out what it is. apology accepted lifetime.

The engines don't need to track what you search for...they already know from monitoring your communications what questions you're asking.

It's too late, they're on to you!

I for one, find it really annoying.

You are not alone. I find it highly annoying as well. What constantly amazes me is that people actually answer nayt's questions. I wrote him off long ago, since he contributes little of substance and requires much in return.

Personally I always try to find the answer myself and then in the rare case when I can't, I will ask other people. Also I usually find answers to questions I did not know to ask, even when I do not find the specific answer I was looking for. Sometimes the journey IS the reward.

*SIGH* Ahhhh,...anywho, getting back to the original topic:

When I went to see 'Cats' here in WA at some theatre in Seattle, I saw a couple of limos drive up to the main entrance. I jogged a little faster to see who was getting out of the cars. I figured they had to be important considering the amount of people that was swarming around the back seat door that I could clearly spot from the distance I was at. And to my little astonishment *gasp!*: it was Jim Carrey and John Travolta! BEEE! I've always thought Jim Carrey was so funny (although I don't care much for his change in style nowadays), and John Travolta was pretty good in Saturday Night Fever . I was with my family, of course, being as young as I was. I don't know why in hell, but when I asked my dad if we could walk a little faster so we could see them up just a tad closer, he said no! Why would he do that? UH! My mom even wanted to have a better looksie but my dad just wouldn't let us go. Hmmppfft!

...What a mean, mean man.

A few years ago when they were making a movie in my hometown, my cousin was working at the grocery store and Liv Tyler came in. My cousin had a picture and got her to autograph it. Also, the place where they shot the bar (inside) was where we had our senior prom. Oh and my cousin also got to see Glenn Close and Chris O'Donnell. (Dammit, why couldn't I have gotten a job there?) Also, many many years ago, when Ally Sheedy was a big actress, we got to see her when another film was being done. We were "extras" that day--got paid five dollars apiece. Way cool, but later they cut our scene.

Ok, i took the liberty of installing a google services menu in os x. So i can try this search thing. You will have to try and be patient with me, i am new to search engines. I still think the Government will try and watch what i search for, but heck, if i post hear what is to keep them from reading the posts.

I honestly can't think of why the government would want to track you, Nayt. Perhaps various corporations for targeted sales, but not the government.

Nayt

The government is searching emails, searching posts, and monitoring telecommunications through all US IPs for any kind of terrorist activity. So, you can rest assured that your searches have secondary importance to that. But your online activities are already being recorded and monitored, Nayt.

The only way to prevent it is not to connect your computer to the internet, not use the phone (yes, all phone calls are already being monitored), don't use the mail (Okay, the government might not be reading your snail mail, but they can) and don't talk to anyone. You never know when there's a satellite surveillance trained on you or if that person is an informant!

So, go for that heavy incryption software (the .gov already has all the keys), rip your phone out of the wall and move to Antarctica. There are fewer satellites monitoring that area, so you might be able to avoid their watchful eyes.

Paranoid fantasy is a poor way of life, but at least you won't be bored. There's always someone else of which to be suspicious.

Well, i always try adn post away from home, and at random places in the city. Just to keep them on their toes. I thought the encryption was a good idea though. All my e-mails are encrypted and such. I figure since i know they are recording all my stuff i should at least make it entertaining for them.

Sorry, you can't win there. Using public computers to reach boards like this opens yourself up to identity theft. You would be amazed at how easy it is to put a keystroke logger on a public access computer

"and such"? Sorry, Nayt, I'm not buying this one. I'd be surprised if you've ever sent a single encrypted email in your life. (I wouldn't bet my life savings on it, though. ) But anyway, consider this an official bluff-calling.

There's an incredible piece of scientific equipment known as the Tunneling Electron Microscope. Now, this microscope is so powerful that by firing electrons you can actually see images of the atom, the infinitesimally minute building block of our universe. I met Richard Chamberlain and Ripp Torn when they were filming a movie in Colorado called Dream West back in the 80's, which I don't think anyone ever watched. That weird guy from the old Pace Picante commercials was in it, too, and he hit on me-yeah, sad, I know. Some girls get the cute guys and the rest of us get the Pace Picante guys Anyway, I also met Kelsey Grammer at the Field of Dreams site in Iowa-very nice guy, but stoned at the time, I think, cause he went into rehab the next day..
