I think the other reason why there are TTBs and not TTHs is simply the historic dominance of comics by male heroes. AY2K's most powerful (in all possible ways) characters are women. I find that refreshing.

I'm sure Nitrozac would be interested in hearing from all the real TTBs in this forum, like yourself, regarding suggestions for new characters.

Thanks Bregalad, but actually the whole point of the post was to expose the double standard, rather than to suggest that AY2K should be changed. The truth is that the addition of a TTH in the AY2K would probably ruin it. I'm not one of those people who believes that things should be changed just to make them politically correct.
I guess I'm just sick and tired of guys who complain how hard it is to be male, and geeks who complain of how hard it is to get a girlfriend. I've been terribly disappointed by how shallow and closed minded geeks tend to be.

I'm not a complete geek and it's still hard for me to get a girlfriend. I guess I just haven't been very lucky.

Mmm, since people are being quite open here, and since I'm just a newbee, I'll put in my homepage (how bad it may be).

Oh, all right, I give. I'll show myself. However, I'm away at school, no digital camera, and only about four pictures of myself, not all that great. So I'll put up three and you can pick your poison.

(Yahoo! Geocities is being stupid about showing these. If you get a page that saying the page isn't available, highlight the URL line and hit enter. For some reason, that makes it work. Refreshing the page doesn't.)

The Artsy-Fartsy Shadow Shot. Coolest one I have available.

Not as nifty-looking, here, but at least you can see my whole face.

And finally, (though I think my scanner screwed it up a bit), Aiyana the Adventurer, charging into the jungles of Ecuador...and straight into a knee-deep mud puddle. D'OH!

Aiyana: LOOOVE the Quatrix shirt :-) sluggy is another one of the many comics I read every morning before work (including AY2K and Joy of Tech of course ;-)

Well I guess I might as well go for it.. This is the only good picture of me that has been taken since I was under the age of 6. It was taken 6 years ago, but I don't look that much different at 22 then I did at 16, except my hair is longer, I no longer have that tan, and I'm normally wearing glasses

This is my senior picture from high school. No current pictures are available, although a computer age progression was done and theoretically I should now look something like this:

Aiyana, snap on the Quatrix shirt, but I prefer the 'Prepare to die Nerd-Boy', Bun-bun one.

Something could be too big... my couch was too big to get up the stairs into my apartment, and sometimes my car is too big to fit into a parking spot...

Large size can be good and bad. I've got a pair of computers on a table, each with a 21" monitor - the monitors are wonderful, but they don't leave a lot of room for keyboards and mice, speakers, the scanner, etc.

well actually I was referring to those, but thought I would take it off track before it got too far. I was too late. But since I do listen to alot of talk radio in the morning, I do hear the super rare complaint that someone's train was too big for the tunnel >;o) ..............Z

Your monitors aren't too big. Your table is too small.

Hehe. Thanks. I'd love to have the "Prepare to die" shirt, too...let's face it, pretty much all the Sluggy shirts are nifty. A vet student's budget just doesn't allow for it. The only reason I even have the Quatrix shirt is that a fellow Sluggite friend got it for me for a birthday present.

A day without Sluggy is like...well...it's just *that* much less fun, darnit!

Insomnia,

Eponine hasn't said anything about being upset or uncomfortable with the repeated attention, but she might very well feel that way and be too nice to say anything. It's gone from amusing to pushy.

Lay off it, o.k.?

Last time I saw a marriage proposal like this on a webcomic forum, it scared off some of the other girls who would hang out there.

Ugh.

I hope this doesn't unnerve Eponine to that point. I like her

Thanks for speaking up for me guys. I'm not scared, and it's flattering to think someone else out there finds me attractive. But this is a silly little high school boy, and I can't possibly take him seriously. I figure I'll just ignore it, and like an annoying fly, he'll eventually go away. I'll get scared if he starts trying to stalk me.

Maybe I ought to take that question to a new Thread. In fact, I think I will! Nyah!
