i thought it was a great movie, but yeah, you have a point. he was kind of a baby at times. seemed like his girl friend had to sit there and pat him on the back alot to make him feel better.

yea plus he does act like a big pansy through out.. im sure with all that greeen lucas has he could have gotten a better actor besides.. lucas doesnt give a flying fuck about the notable story lines that Kevin J Anderson among others have layed down many years before episode 1 was even on the radar... while he makes them read every piece of literature to make sure that their novel fits into the universe while he himself can just fuck all their hard work..

I finally saw it last week. All I can say is I wish the Yoda fight had gone longer. Like the Darth Maul fight in Episode I, that one duel was almost worth the price of admission.

The arena scene was cool too. It's nice to see Jedi kick ass instead of just sitting on cushions.

couldnt agree more... or if dooku had gotten 2 lightsabers..
i have seen pictures of it on www.theforce.net he had anakins lightsaber.. that would have been great.. or if yodo used his staff like Bodo Baas does in the Tales of the Jedi graphic novels

i think the maul scene was over all cooler and was scored better.. but john williams does a consistently good job with all the films.. but duel of fates is just a great composition by him

My $0.02....fwiw.

The first two-thirds of the movie were redeemed only by Ewan MacGregor. He manages to pull off the grave dignity of Obi-Wan while still kicking ass.

Hayden Christensen is one of the most wooden actors in history. Natalie Portman just didn't have any depth. I wanted to cringe through the love scenes - they just weren't believable.

On the other hand, Yoda and Samuel L. Jackson kicking much ass toward the end redeemed the final third of the movie.

Personally, I plan to forget either Episode I or II even exists. Sort of like any Highlander movie made after the original. They don't exist.
