My comps name is Gigatron 2000, building up a Linux box (finally venturing into the Linux world, wish me luck, no clue how to use it), gonna name that one Linus. Pretty simple reason for that one's name.

Actually, all I need for my Linux box is a KVM switch, the comp has been ready for months, just building up the funds for the KVM and I'll have my second comp up and running, with plans for building my 3rd, a Win2k server

(she's my pride and joy, my baby), in fact, someone smacked her into a music stand one time and well frankly, they regret it now

My computer is named struttah. I don't know why. It doesn't really strutt. It isn't worthy of praise, the Celeron 800 was all i could afford

I have a couple of Linux boxes called Xena & Gabrielle (Xena is a 1.2 GHz athlon, Gab is a 333 PII).

If there were any windoze boxes they'd start at Callisto. Macs would start with Joxer.

My PowerBook G3 that I use at home is called Mensch and has an icon of Charlie Chaplin to represent itself.

My parent's old Mac (before they ditched it for a PC) was called Regis.

In college, our ad-hoc Mac network had several LC's, old SE's, and a few Power Macs. They were named after the Muppets: Kermit, Fozzie, Gonzo, Scooter, Grover, Ernie, and Bert.

The two beautiful laser printers were named: Edina and Patsy (sweetie dahling!)

I feel so... assimilated. Our IT dept. has a strict policy of naming: C-username2 would be a person's second PC, L-username a laptop and M-username a Mac. The main servers have utilitarian names too.

My own machines are named for the swords of Tolkien heroes: Anduril the dual processor G4, Glamdring the SuperMac, Orcrist the PowerCenter, Guthwine the dual Celeron PC, and Sting the little iBook 500.

Well, since Bregalad brought up Tolkien as a source for computer names, I might as well throw mine up here! I guess I'm not as geeky, though, since mine aren't as obscure.
My ol' 266 MHz G3 laptop is Merry and my 333 MHz grape iMac is Pippin. They even sport the appropriate character desktop pictures from lordofthetings.net.
Quite the duo, they are. Poor Merry's a bit sluggish with OS X at times, though. Wish I could upgrade him to a TiBook!
