I would probably be an engineer or a handyman of some sort. Maybe even a pilot or a doctor. There's a pretty good chance I would have joined a branch of the armed services too. IP: Logged |

Just to be different, I'dve probably gone into the religion business, or taken up politics. Or law. In my spare time, I'd have a lot more time for writing. I don't know whether this would be a good thing or not. Oh, and in a world without computers, bunches of kids wouldn't have dropped out of college because of my evil deeds. Some of them would've dropped out anyway, but at least it wouldn't have been my fault. :-) IP: Logged |

I'd be either a double-naught spy or a brain surgeon, for sure. Colonel Panic IP: Logged |

quote: Actually, a lot of the most critical medical advances, such as germ theory, anesthesia, antibiotics, blood transfusions, and vaccinations, were made in the days before computers. With the exception of blood transfusions and antibiotics, everything listed above dates back to the 18th and 19th centuries. Does medicine benefit from computing power? Absolutely. But it doesn't depend on it as much as, say, computer engineering does. ------------------ IP: Logged |

First, I would run around naked, screaming and shouting unintelligible sentences. (Heck, I have the urge to run around naked just from the sheer thought of no computers.) Then, I would gather myself together, get dressed, and go to work at the city paper. We would all rally together, and laugh in the faces of the technophiles and zealots who insist that print is dead and electronic news is the wave of the future. And then, I'd wash all that ink off my hands, and cry in the bathroom stall from computer withdrawal. IP: Logged |

I would want to be the great cooker. If I weren't bore deaf. I would want to be fireman. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Without computers, I probably would still be drawing( I have no idea what, though...) and I would probably have a greater interest in Pen and Paper RPGs,Fantasy Novels, the Mellotron and the theremin. Outside of that, everything will be the same, only with less of an emphasis on technology. Oh yeah, I would also..........DANCE!!!!! IP: Logged |

One of three things: Math. Art. or Music. Math because I'm a math geek, I've always been a math geek, and I always will be a math geek. Art because it runs in my veins.... ...and the same goes with music. Besides, both are somewhat related to math... art in a loose way... and music in some more obvious ways. Either that... or an archaeologist, maybe... I've been immersing myself into some of the more mathematically-related archaeology.. and it's intriguing. IP: Logged |
