OK, I must write this quickly or it will be erased from my memory forever.
I had a very interesting dream last night. I dreamed that I went to a porn theater to apply for a job as a stripper (why, I have no clue, for I have not the body for one) and the CEO of the industry had said that I had a better oppurtunity in porn, and I got mad and left. Upon returning home, what should await me but the one, the only, Mr. Marilyn Manson dressed in drag waiting for me on my bed. It was pretty sweet, considering I've had a major schoolgirl crush on him since God knows when. Apperently he was there to test out my stripping skills and that led to a very fun time in my queen-sized bed, considering we never got to talking about an agreement.
[Since this is a place to put stupid things from my stupid life in, I assumed this would be the best place to put this topic.]
Check this post out for more of my crazy dreams!!!
P.S. Is it me, or do I have a wierd talent of getting skinny white guys in my life one way or another? Whhheeeeeeee!

Manson? *hangs head* I used to respect you. J/k, you know I never did. Wow, I mean today. I guess I should tell you that I seriously haven't lost any respect for you, but do now realize why you have such troule with relationships.

That hurts. Kidding. Might I remind thee, Game Master that it was a dream? Besides that, I don't see a person losing respect for another person just because of their affiliation with another. I'm sure we all have our crushes on a celebrity that we could never have.

My relationship problems are not my fault; it's the guys I date j/k

I had a dream that I was having a heart attack and when I woke up my cat Cootie was on my chest. See his picture on Spymac.com under My Kitty.

My dreams are usually a bit more based in my reality. At the moment, I've been experiencing a recurring dream of me doing something which I've ment to do but keep putting off.

It's getting slightly annoying. Enough to even make me try and do what is in my dream. Hopefully it'll stop after that.

I don't really dream often myself, but that's because I dont sleep often, or for very long when I do (usually). But when I DO sleep I either have really freaky dreams which I proceed to forget a few moments after I wake up, or I have that which I don't know how to describe in a word, I suppose 'preminition' could be it, but eh who knows. I often dream about what will hapen to me during the day, and often that's exactly what happens...I usually forget a lot of the details but it freaked me out one day when I could quote what happened to my friend in his earlier class when I hadn't seen him yet that day, and hadn't heard anything about it from anyone....

On the bright side, she dreamed about Manson and not Greg Brady.
Now that's truly sick!

My friend had a dream about a combine harvester (yes, that's right, farm machinery...) The nausea just reached a whole new level.

Perhaps, just perhaps, Manosn isn't that bad, considering all the other people who could have been in it... Micheal Jackson, Micheal Bolton, Strom Thurmond ... I think she got off pretty easy... wait, let me rephrase that.

Strom Thurmond? Greg Brady? Barnyard animals??? What is wrong with you people??? I jest.

The last dream I had was that I was at my grandmother's house in Peru, somewhere I've not been to since I was 9 or so. A dog I used to have named Orion was in her garden sniffing at rabbits. I entered the house to find that every one was preparing for a wedding-MY wedding!!! I didn't know who I was getting married to, but I was dressed in a white silk gown and (to boot) I was very pregnet. A few hours before the wedding, my water had broken in a spare room and I gave birth to a very happy little boy.

I thought this was more towards reality LOL

Selling unwritten books? Hey I have a bridge to sell you too.... :P

I don't dream much anymore... They stopped for a while, after a long series of dreams that were all profetic. Now, I only dream after depriving myself of sleep for a day or two, and then oversleeping when I finnally crash. The result is typically a bizare union of things that are imposibilities and things related to .... Well, that would e a long story, and I have a program to write.

Precognition.

Premonition is similar, but it has a connotation that whatever is going to happen is bad.

Dreaming things beofore they happen isn't precog, it's more of a calarvissual, but that is just technicalitly. Telepathic dreaming a bit more common, but harder to verify... By the time it is realized as a shared dream both people have confered about the dream, and details in their memory will be about the talk and not about the dream.

Lucide(sp) dreaming is also a very intresting thing to play with, when you can stay sleeping after you realize it's a dream. I typically am forced awake by the realization, but the times that I managed to stay sleeping, I had a heck of a lot of fun.

Do you mean clairvoyance? I've always defined that as "seeing at a distance", distance here referring to the normal three dimensions of space, not through time. Precognition, on the other hand, obviously means "before knowing", or seeing the future.

On the other hand, most of my "knowledge" of this stuff stems from playing 1st edition AD&D when I was 12, and from reading fantasy fiction. I'll defer to you if you've actually got experience with paranormal phenomena.

I do have expierence with the paranormal, but haven't looked much into clinical parapsycology or metaphysics... I have read some books that use claravoyance and precognition interchangale... I think that there is a difference between "knowing before" and claravoyance "seeing at a distance" and since the dreams are intrepted as images and not just "I have a feeling X will happen" I tend to look at profetic dreaming as an act of "seeing."

I guess it is really arguing over conotations that are implied, and since the context is pretty well clear... ta-MAY-to, ta-MAH-to, let's call the whole thing off.

dreams can be fun, and sometimes they can be serious. Paul, i think in your case, your dream is your sub-conscience trying to tell you what it wants. Call her. If i ever do what i dream, i would be in jail.

eh, I always know I'm dreaming when I do..except twice, and I was subject to a gruesome murder in both of those dreams...I have to rephrase that..I KNOW I'm dreaming except when it's my, bah, visions or whatever the fuck you want to call them...I wish I hadn't destroyed all me journals from last year...I had a dream in which I was driving around, looking for someone, though I don't know who, and I kept seeing this little old spanish lady and everytime I drove by she gave me an odd look...I swear that I saw that same old lady when I was driving around looking for someone the other day...man, it's creepy sometiems...anywho, the point was I know when I'm dreaming unless it's my 'premonitions' or I'm going to be killed in some gruesome way...and the old wives tale that you can't feel pain in a dream is wrong, I lived exactly what I've always thought that being stabbed in the back OVER AND OVER AND OVER would feel like, but only after getting the shit beat out of me, and then beating the shit out of someone else...eh, ciao all

A few nights ago I had a dream that the girl I'm currently interested in/kind of together with suddenly got engaged to her ex-boyfriend. It then skipped forward to a couple hours after the wedding. I was in a small white room with no doors or windows, and I blew my brains out with a pistol. The dream then went black and it seemed like quite a while before I woke up. Kinda disturbing.

eh, I dunno why you ask, but in one of them everyone was normal eye colors and hair colors the other one was jsut incredibly odd....there was only me and two other people in the dream...the one was a guy who was in all black and had a black mask on and black hair (I have no idea who the guy was..) and the other was a girl that was on a stone slab, as in one used for ritual sacrifice...the guy was standing over her with a knife about to kill her...I suddenly found myself in the room and I tackled him and fought him for a while, and eventually knocked him out somehow..while we were strugling he stabed at me and hit the ground and his knife broke in two pieces...the girl on the slab grabed the broken shard of the blade and blood started running down her hand...she had auburn hair and green eyes streaked with blue...I got up and turned to face the guy that was on the ground, and she stabbed me in the back with the knife..then she tried to tug it around and dig it deaper, then pulled it out and stabed it in a downward motion at my shoulder blade next to my neck.....I then was in quite agony and blood gurgled in my throught and everything turned red...it felt like I was that way for hours, just seeing red and in pain then I woke up...

I know that this is going to sound like I am nuts, but believe me, I have my reasons... Remove all mirrors from your room, especailly those that face the bed. Invest in some dream catchers (and believe in them), and (this one will sound even more odd) leave salt on your window sills.

Let's me try to guess what the knife looked like...
Black handle with kilt, silver oval in sahpe of eye, and a emerald or other green stoe as the iris? I am guessing that at least the girl had green eyes as well?

Now that you think I'm a loon, I shall digress.

Don't worry, Game Master. I've always thought you were kinda looney even before the last post.
I've been having the same re-accuring dreams, where I'm in my apartment and my ex-boyfriend finds me alone and I cannot protect myself. I wake up before anything happens, but I wake up screaming. It's really scaring the shit out of my little brother. I'm going to take the no-mirror approach to my room and see how that goes just for the hell of it.

Mirrors are only part of the equation, Audrie, and the there is a rather intresting difference between your dream and neo's... Neo's have a habit of comming true, normally, second the dressed in all black with black hair and green eyes and the presence of that knife (if it was indeed the knife I described) than Neo is on the verge of some rather intresting times.

Your dreams, Audrie, may be improved by removing the mirrors and putting up dream catchers. Belief in certain wards (crosses, pentagrams, native american tabacco bundles) should also help if the dreams have external cause... If it is just your fear causing them, and these wards don't help, then consider trying to elliminate things that would raise your nerves.

Neo, it is imporatant to remember that there is a reason for the dreams and what I suspect will follow. Dreamcatchers are easily made, but are not the only thing that works. Try smugging (Please tell your parents before smugging, for burring sage smells a lot like something else!!!), terquios or burring vanilla and/or cinnomon insents if posible. Meditation and artistic outlet are a good idea as well, if things get strange....

All to well. The dream isn't a profetic dream, else I'd be gone. It did however have a lot of real things (places that I didn't see until after the dream, that kind of thing). I have more that I think you need to hear, but I am not sure how to go about explaining it...

A while ago, a long while ago, I had a dream. It was actually part of a dream recurring series that ended with a really odd dream... Everything was completly black, except my clothing (all white) and I was looking into a girls green eyes, and I couldn't move... Like I was under a trance or something, then a guy with black hair and glowing green eyes come out of no where, and stabbed me with the knife I discribed above. I felt the knife, and felt it when I woke up. I thought that I had rolled over on something, and that caused the stabbing in the dream, but when I exsamined my bed, there was nothing sharp or hard in it.

A friend of mine had a similar dream about the same time, and when we began talking about it, we realized we needed to get more details... So we began playing with hypnosis, trying to get more details from her foggy dream. We decided to do the hypnosis in a park (so our parents didn't think we were nuts), and long behold we opened an intresting can of worms. We were chased out of the park by "ghosts" or "demonds" or what have you... The following year or two, odd things contiuned to happen, until we did a make shift cleansing ritual... We are still attracted to, and attract strange things, but nothing quite as strange as that.

If I am right, you may be inadvertently opening the same "can of worms" because you have similar gifts as we did.

This, I guess, is just an example of how overly analytical I am, even in my subconscious mind.

I have a reoccuring "theme", if you wanna call it that, in my dreams. I don't dream that I'm flying; I dream that I can run through the air. In my subconscious mind, I figured out that because there is less friction in the air, running in the air requires much more effort than running on the ground. What's odd is that I am the only one in my dreams who can do it. It seems so real, especially since my subconscious mind rationalizes it.

I've even had dreams where I would run through the air to get away from men in suits trying to kill me.

Last night, however, I dreamed that I was bouncing off of the ground -- Super Mario Bros. style -- just because it was easier than walking. Other people in my dream noticed, however, and said that I wasn't human.

Isn't it sad when you dream about someone who's no longer in your life? In the dream it seems like that person is back in your life, and it's not until you wake up that you realize that they're still gone.

yeah, although its not really the dreams that get me, since I almost never remember them... its the mp3s on my hard drive that we traded that remind me of her... an incubus song that she gave me called "Summer Romance"... "Seven Days," a craig david song I gave her...

ironically, another Craig David song is helping me out the most right now... "Walking Away"
