Check security settings for cookie acceptance.

What version and operating system? (if it's Mac, D&R)

Oddly, i am in the oppsite spot. IE is the only web browswer that saves my cookies. Opera, and Omniweb will not. So moving to Opera may not fix the problem.

If it's IE6, then set the Privacy setting to "low", which will block 3d-party cookies, but not cookies from the site you're visiting.

What's really weird is that I have Opera set to accept all cookies yet online stores always tell me that I need to accept cookies or that my cookie was lost. Geek Culture seems to have no trouble and usually remembers me for a while, but I've yet to find a browser that remembers who I am for an entire session on the forums. I post and it lights up the icons letting me know where new stuff is. I post again, jump up a level or two and, poof, they're all gone. Every browser I've tried manages to forget who I am: Opera on Win2K and MacOS 9, Mozilla on Win2K and MacOS X, IE on Win2K, MacOS 9 and MacOS X. The only thing left is Omniweb and browsers like iCab that I gave up on long ago, or linux and I haven't got that installed anywhere yet.

I live with it.

omniweb does not remember who you are either. That is what i use most of the time, and it has problems.
