Okay, after a while I get sick of talking to a bunch of faceless IP addresses, so I thought it would be fun if we all posted pictures of ourselves. I'll start.

Here's me, around November of last year, I think:
http://www.tangerinecs.com/~amber/amber.jpg

This is me later, in March:
http://www.tangerinecs.com/~amber/amberbypassed.jpg

This is me in the computer room of our old apartment:
http://www.tangerinecs.com/~amber/Pics/computerroom.jpg

And this is me at the Athens Linux Fest this past February:
http://www.tangerinecs.com/~amber/Pics/amberalf.jpg

(And I suppose I must... this is me on my wedding day... http://www.tangerinecs.com/~amber/wedding/formal-amber.jpg

Now it's everyone else's turn!!

Here's a picture from summer 1999:

http://www.shout.net/~mec/atd-lobby.jpeg

The people in the picture are (from left to right):

Dave, the cool marketing guy

Yee-lan, the software architect

Michael (me), the all-around geek

Fred, the founder / CEO / PHB. Actually he's very smart; he just looks like Dilbert's boss. And come to think of it, I look like Dilbert!

The second picture speaks for itself:

Hey, you've posted that picture before, I remember seeing it... Hail to the penguin!

(I see your Tux is still wearing his "Penguin Power" button. I took it off of my Tux. I thought it wasn't nice for something sharp and pointy to be sticking into him.)
I'm a dork, I know...

Well, there are a couple that I did specifically for Geek Culture, both from 2000...

there's the picture of my boots (61KB):
http://members.aol.com/EngrBohn/aftery2k/contest/bohngeeksphere.png

and the picture of a Geek Hero hearing the call to action (374KB animated GIF):
http://members.aol.com/EngrBohn/aftery2k/tubesrock.gif

Then there's this picture of me, July or August 1996 (49KB):
http://members.aol.com/EngrBohn/resume/dcu.jpg

And one of me from sometime in 1998 (24KB):
http://members.aol.com/EngrBohn/thesis/CaptBohn.jpg

Finally, there are assorted pictures of my son, in which I make some appearances:

Well the only one I can find of me on the net at the moment is this one. All right since then I have lost around 28kgs.

One day I will get my site up and running and then I will be able to post all my pictures of me at the various freeforms, conventions, on stage etc.

Martin

Only 8 more hours and then I am out of here and off to the UK for 4 days of gaming, geek heaven, well for me it is.

Be fun to do, just the sort of thing I would go for too, except, as we have already established here on AY2K I look like Woz .

By the way Snaggy and Nitrozac, how was it teaching Woz's class?

It was, of course, amazing!

A great honour to be asked, a pleasure to serve, and a dream to be there and help out one of our heroes. Steve is great, and the people who help him out (Sharon and Carlos) totally rock too!

And the students... a barrel of monkeys, but a very talented barrel!

eeek, you can barely see my icky face in this pic. it's from the time i went with my uncles to "goth night" at a local club, which was tons of fun. my uncle patrick is holding me nearly upside-down in that, so no, i'm not falling over.

Hoo boy... actually, either www or not works, as long as you change it to the other once you get their rejection... apparently they have some dumb thing in place to determine if they referred you to an image or another site did and if another site did then it gives a goofy error message....

OK. Fine.

Here's a Self-portrait of me in Times Square during MacWorld 2001. (Using the same camera-at-arm's-length technique)
http://www.digiteyes.com/fun/mepics/BDTimesSquare.jpg

And from the same trip, on the Geeks in Manhatten GeekCruise:
http://www.digiteyes.com/fun/mepics/BDCircleLine200107.jpg

And finally, a picture someone took of me, without my knowledge at MacWorld, and Snaggy found.

(originally from http://www.mymac.com/mwny01/gallery16_7.19.01.shtml)

Of course, since then I've very nearly shaved my head....

I'm an oceanographer. I study light in the sea, in situ and from space. My cubicle is the northern apex of the Bermuda Triangle, the Sargasso Sea near 32N 64W. You might like it Doc, when it's not 90F and 90% RH on the steel deck it's blowing 40 knots with 15 foot seas (the picture of me up to my waist in seawater isn't digitized). Oh and Snaggy, if you're reading this thread, the aliens say hi.
