Ok - it's very trendy among Hollywood stars to come over here and do the London stage thing. Nicole Kidman, Matt Damon, Kelsey Grammar, Madonna - you name it - so many of them have done it. I've hotherto resisted most of them... even though I love going to plays. Anyway, I'd heard good reviews of 'On An Average Day' playing in the West End (just off Leicester Square) - so I went along on Saturday to see if Kyle MacLachlan and Woody Harrelson were worth their praise...

They were. I didn't know Woody could act. It was compelling stuff - go and see it if you can - and can get tickets (it was, of course, packed out).

'Cheers' will never seem the same again.

You're lucky to live in/near London. For us Yorkshire folk, it's not so easy to get down to watch a play.

I too, was intrigued by the Hollywood mass migration to the West End. I was even excited by the prospect of seeing Matt Damon, Casey Affleck and Summer Phoenix on stage together. But then I heard that Gwyneth Paltrow was in London doing a play, and I though it'd be best to avoid the dumbing down of theatre as we know it...

I'm afraid I live in deepest darkest Cheshire - I was just down for that ... you know... social life thing (whatever that is).

Yeah - I wouldn't want to see Gwyneth in a play... she'd probably cry in the middle of it... for about an hour. (I'd like to thank the director... *sniff* ... and the milkman... *sob* ... and the guy who who did my nails...)

oh, yeah, and Tom Hanks never cried when he won the Oscar.
