Saw it in a special preview in Geneva last night, it was great.

If you liked MIB, you will really like MIB II.

I was laughing most of the time, it is a fast pace film and even though it is short (about an hour twenty), it seems much longer.
The special effects were all right, ok not up to Lucas standards, but not too bad. On the other hand, this is a comedy and you are not there for the effects.

Tommy Lee Jones is great as K(ay) and this film shows why Will Smith should stick to comedy and not try anything else.

Anyway, I will most probably be going to see it again when it officially comes out.

Hey!!!! Glad to hear from you, Swiss-we miss you!

Tommy Lee Jones as a postal worker-that must have been hysterical. I can't wait to see it.

I saw it myself the day of it's release in the US.

I have to say, I went in expecting a lot, and the movie delivered. It follows in the footsteps of MIB, and I have to totally agree with Swiss here. If you liked the first one, see the second one.

It's already on my list of movies to buy (once it's on DVD, of course).

Stupid Ebert gave it a thumbs down. I doubt very much that it was a bad movie. Anyway I will edit this post after I get away from the farm to see it. Right now I am waiting to check the water to make sure it doesn't overflow the field and get on the road and make the sherif give my dad a big ole fine. So this is a 24 hour a day job (cat naps for sleep) that will be done in about 2 days and then I hope to go see the movie.

I hated it. It seemed more like a special feature part of a DVD than a movie. And at only 88 min! What a gyp!

I liked it, gonna see it again in the theatres, will buy the DVD...so it's short?

Brevity is the sole of wit! (too bad Polonius was such a motor-mouth!)

At least it was quick and the plot moved, it had a few good laughs and it didn't spend a lot of unnecessary time getting from point to point.

It was worth the $5.50 (bargain hour) I paid to see it.

I thought it was great. I was going to see it opening night, and was perfectly able to, but couldn't for reasons that make a long story. However, I saw it the next day at an IMAX instead, possibly sweetening the deal.

Positive comments about Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith are a given, so instead I'll be the first to say that Lara Flynn Boyle makes one heck on an alien (as least in human form).

I saw Men in Black II.

It was okay. But not great. And not worth $8.00.

If you really want a great comedy, I recommend Undercover Brother. And wait for the scenes they show during the credits.

Well I saw MIB II today, and I can say that I was a bit surprised... in a bad way. Aye, the movie was good... maybe quite that, but the parts where Will couldn't finish his sentence were annoying. Actually, I thought most of what Jay and Kay said to eachother was a bit... well, stupid. They could've done better.

Well......
i thought that the movie was plotless and ripped off other movies......

The creature that lands and assumes the form of an attractive young woman, was a rip off from species. The "vines" or w/e from her fingers, toung, etc. are just like in species and in the outer limits from last season with the creature that lands, becomes a woman, seduces people, then has things crawl out of her to eat them. They also look surprisingly like "screamers" from tremors/tremors2/tremors3

The part in the elevator when they are shooting like that, reminds me of the matrix, and in the very end, the part when he opens up the door, it is the thirteenth floor, except that it doesn't explain the plot at all. It shows that maybe they were trying to show you something, but couldn't quite do it. It is also just like in the end of the firstone when the hand flicks the marble.

In fact, the whole plot line is almost the same. Find so and so with blah blah blah to save earth and blah blah blah and then give it to blah blah blah, stoping so and so from being assassinated.

Don't get me wrong, MIB 1 was great, but MIB 2 had a few comic parts, but i almost fell asleep. MIB2 made the original black and white version of To kill a mockingbird a masterpiece.

well jon for a comedic movie trying to associate scenes with the original is a good thing..sorta like paying homage to the original but not quite as much paying homage as mib2 did...

the mass public doesnt know that it has been stolen so obviously they dont care

a lot of movies steal ideas from other sci-fi movies/shows

for example episode 1 and 2 the naboo ships that padme travels in are exact replicas from fifties sci-fi tv shows

It was one of the dumbest movies I've even seen. But I kinda expected that since sequels are hardly ever as good as the original.

2 thumbs up from me and my brother. Hillarious film and not too long either. Good special effects and not trying to be a deep and meaningful Oscar winner. A good sequel!

i liked it a lot.

but the damned preview spoiled a lot of it.

the "came with a black dude" line is prolly the funnies line... but when the first previews came out 3 days after StarWars Ep2 came out... i was watching Ep2 and the audience laughed harder at the preview than in the movie because it was so overplayed.

also the dog singing along to "Who Let the Dogs Out" is great too.

overall its a good movie... i really enjoyed it.

I honestly still don't think it's worth the money to see, the only really good parts are shown on the previews, and the very end of the movie was the worst piece of crap I've ever seen in my entire life, and whoever the bloody fuck tacked that on at the very end should be drug into the street and shot to put him out of my misery. *disclaimer* I'm in no way responsible for those who take my ranting and raving seriously and actually do anything that I suggest that they do.

I saw it a month ago, and I thought that it was really good- I'm not sure if it was better or worse than the original,as I remember very little about the original MIB.

The funniest part had to be the scene with an entire civilization that worshiped Tommy Lee Jones' character(and soonafter Will Smith's character)inside a train station locker. I'm not sure if the concept or the visualization of the concept was funny, but it made me crack up nonetheless.

The special effects were very good, although there was one badly done video composite at the end....
Oh yeah, the font used for the opening credits looked a lot like the custom-made font used for the movie Stop Making Sense, don't you think?
