I want to buy that software for Mac. But I am not sure about it. Does it actually work by running on DVD player? Does it required to have iDVD programs? Will it create "Auto play" on both PC and Mac? Is that good?

Toast is the de facto standard on the Mac platform and it's got a good feature list. Discribe http://www.charismac.com/ is the main competitor and it has some features that Toast does not.

I've used Toast and like it as a CD burning app.

Toast Titanium will burn CDs that can have auto run tracks for both Wintel and Mac. In addition, you can also have an audio track on the same CD.
