*WOW* This movie is a must see for anyone who loves war movies. This true story about a raid by the US Rangers and Delta forces to bring some of the leaders of the Samalian War Lord to justice. Well things went wrong and instead of being a 30 minute mission it lasted closer to 24 hours. These soldiers were in the middle of a hostile city where if one person fell the next would pick up the gun and start shooting. The soldiers had to both treat their numerous wounded and stay alive for this whole time.

Many people are comparing it to Saving Private Ryan. This comarison is not a good one being as SPR is a Drama and BHD is an action movie. BHD is basicaly one long action scene but there is some charecter developement and is, in my opinion, the best filmed movie of 2001.

If you are bothered by Blood and Guts then do not go see this movie. There are many very grafic scenes in this movie. One of the things this movie hammers into whoever watches it is that war is hell and that no one ever wants to be a part of it.

I'm looking forward to seeing it, I read the book a couple of summers ago, shortly after it came out. Mark Bowden has written a few other war related books which I have enjoyed. Later this spring, he has a book about d-day coming out. I look forward to reading it as well.

Well, when the movie comes to town here I'll go and see it.
