I don't spend much time reading the Love-related threads, but there are a couple that I follow. I'm seeing comments like "I say that you should go for it and tell him how you feel." (macman) "I say ask her." (EngrBohn) "Quit playing Hamlet and just ask her out." (Rednivek) Yet, in another forum, in reference to this JoT, we have ------------------ IP: Logged |

Okay, the subject of this thread got that stupid Alanis Morisette song in my head. So I say: "Dump her" and "Ram a pen into your left nostril" IP: Logged |

Huh. I *do* know who she is, but I don't pay attention to her or her music. So I din't know about that song. This subject was intended to be a play on "Isn't it Romantic" ------------------ IP: Logged |

Actually, "You Oughta Know" by Alanis was an awesome song. Anyone who's ever been cheated on can relate to the raw anger in it. IP: Logged |

Maybe we all just seriously dislike the woman and enjoy nitpicking. Or maybe we just like diverting a topic totally from it's original intent. Only time will tell! ------------------ IP: Logged |

Don't get me wrong - I'm a big Alanis fan - she's good in Dogma as well (not that it was a hard part). I just object to the abuse of English in that one song - being the pedant I am. (Question: is it pedantry or pedantism? ) ------------------ IP: Logged |

No. Must be "Pedance", because of the opposite (impedance). IP: Logged |
