OK my sister has felt that my love life was suffering so she decided to set me up with a girl that has been both of our friends for about a year now. The problem is that she is 16 and I am 19. Well after my sister tricked me into going out with her the girl kinda fell for me. Well I didn't fall for her because she is younger than my younger sister is. So I need to know does anyone have any advice on what to do? I don't want to break the poor girl's heart and I still want to be friends. I go to school about 5 hours away from where she lives but she has family in the area that she visits rather often so i still see her. IP: Logged |

Man, that is tough. Best advice I have is to tell her the truth, and as soon as you can. Be gentle and let her know as definitely as possible that you like her very much as a friend and would like to continue being her friend, but that you don't feel about her the same way she feels about you. The most important thing here is to not mix your message; keep it simple and clear. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I would have to agree, the turth is always the best way to go. You may hurt her in the short run, but i think you will both be better off in the long run. It is much better then pretending to be in love with her when you are not. Nayt IP: Logged |
