It worked. We moved in together in November 1999. In July 2000 I was in New York covering MacWorld Expo, and as we drifted off to sleep the night of my return, the last coherant thing she said was "I want a Snow iMac..." If anything, it'll add to the spice if you both know your respective platform well. Of course, not knowing it well may lead to problems. The anime and I are content with the type of relationship we have. Of course, I can't make out with the anime( well I can, but it's just not the same), but that's fine with me. No amount of Mac could convince her to switch until a printer driver installation wiped out her system like a jumbo box of handi-wipes. I scrounged up a IIci and 2400 baud modem (!) which was enough to get her online at least. Now she's got an iBook... and myself, a tiBook...
