Well, I haven't played Boolean Algebra Scrabble yet, but I have played Food Scrabble and Body Part Scrabble. Basically, the player just gets a bonus if their word falls into the title category. I think 20-30 points is a reasonable bonus, although changing the bonus either way makes for different strategies. You also want to be careful to choose a good title category. We'd all love OS Scrabble, but there really aren't enough X's.

Einstein was not terrible at math. This is an urban myth. He did consult the leading mathmeticians of the time to help check his work, but he was *not* terrible at math. You could say he's terrible at laundry or having the snazziest fashion, but not math

Girls do like bands. Not all girls, but there's a niche. Whether those girls are dateable is another issue.

However, it is not an urban myth that Macwoman is terrible at math.

For a period of about 2 years my husband and I worked at the same company (he was the lead programmer, and I was tech support, then QA for the same product). It was only through our mutual support that I was able to last in that company as long as I did (talk about inept management, but I digress). We were able to keep ourselves sane and our relationship healthy despite the chaotic work life we had because we could both understand intimately the pressures we were under at work.

OTOH, work is pretty much all we talked about, it was all-consuming...except for when we went out into the garden for some R&R.

The myth about Einstein being bad at math, or failing subjects stems from the school system he studied in.

When Einstein was in school in Switzerland, the cantonal system he was in graded from 6 to 1 (6 being a fail, 1 being the highest grade you can get). All the other cantons graded from 1 to 6, with 6 being the highest. It was while he was in school that the canton decided to align their system with the rest of the cantons. So Albert went from getting 1's in math to 6's. So if you do not take this in account and look at his grades using the actual system (it is still used), it does look as if he failed maths for a couple of years, while in fact he was aceing the class.

Well, good for me there are some Geek Girls Moscow, and there are even lots of them, but I have no life(okay, okay, I am very hesitant to admit to it, but In fact I do have some life, but I assure you that it is not much of alife at all. But if I lied and said that I have none, how could I have met some of them? But most of my life outside computer consists of going and drinking beer with my pals [good things that some of the geek girls are my pals, bad things is that I don't know how do go from there to dating ]) so, in basicly better situation than everyone else, I can't get what I wan't.

I AM TEH WEAKEST link for today TXH BYE, to bed for me (or it will end very very bad, and very very soon )

The question i guess is what is the best for a geek... i been reading some of the postings and i see ppl post both ways.
As a guy the biggest hurdle i have is gals treat my type as off limits... to be avoided like the plague...

Havent met any one iam remotely attracted to, for a long time. They all seem to be so very frivolous!!!

Any body has any suggestions???

Please specify the type. I wonder about people that have (or think they have) type worse than mine. (My type being Hermitly Beer Godling that is.)

Hmm... Blatant questions:

what is your age?

where do you live?

are you a troll? (I heard alot about them, yet never seen one live troll)

Sorry if answer for the 3rd question is no.

Geek Mack Daddy OPS

Unfortunately, most geek girls are numbed from the relentless onslaught of wannabe mack daddy ops from the males they are surrounded by on a daily basis. Thus it is difficult to bypass the tendency to get tagged "friend". The tactics required in this situation are brutal. Best to go with the "regular jawns", girls which are normally surrounded by more girls than guys.
Tactics required are less radical.

You can fit under the raised floor? Looking for work? I bet we have twenty people here, and not one is willing to hang out down there. Besides, it's really freaking cold!!

Also also wik: I found my wife while geeking at an on-campus role-playing "thing". I ended up with an art geek, which is certainly not a computer type

Hehe, lots of them aren't best when it comes to computers(they are geekettes in other fields of specialisation), but think of this: about 1/3rd of russian FIDOnet is female...

And those who are computer oriented tend to be not any worse than you or me(Probably better in fact )

P.S. Thanks for the idea. I should probably start something like that. I have just run out of money, so it might be good.

Hey, it's OBVIOUS where geek-babes are -
Internet dating services...

The best ones are as follows:

1. Match.com
2. Matchmaker.com
3. friendfinder.com
4. udate.dom

If anyone has better ones, please post -
match.com (an AOL company) is absolutely
awesome... trust me.
