The first type I got was the Trader. Well, that obviously wasn't right, and there were a couple of questions I could've answered either way. So I went back and tweaked it so it worked right and said I was an Engineer instead. That is what an engineer would do, isn't it? IP: Logged |

neotatsu: I think GM will get a Guru, Uileann might too... It was probably that remark alone that made me take the test. I was curious about it, and wanted to take it anyway, but when I saw it, I found that, yet again, someone had devised a set of alternatives where, for too much of the time, neither fit me, or sometimes both do. Why are those who make these tests so limited that they assume that everyone is one way or the other? It is possible that they actually derive the answer from which you choose even when neither are right (some kind of psychological analysis), but I'm not certain. For example, if I won some ale (I'd not, but assume for some odd reason I did), I'd not throw a party, I'd probably just give it to someone who'd want it or, more likely, I'd not know who'd want it and it would sit at home festering in the corner somewhere for ages until I could be bothered to shift it. I think the difference between me, and anyone who chose either of the two options presented because that is indeed what they would do, is considerable. Actually, the complete pattern for me might tell the whole story, so I don't know. Annnyhow, for the sake of neotatsu's comment, I gave it a little bit of effort, and the answer is: "QEMT - Engineer". I guess that makes sense, really. - uilleann IP: Logged |

There are too many that I can't answer... I don't fight unless someone elses life is in danger, and even then I will restrian them in stead of punching or kicking... I have never touched a drop of liquor, and don't plan on it. The ones that did apply seemed to be toss ups, could have gone either way... I agree U, although I don't think of myself as a Guru, I think of myself as a seeker... though the test says I'm a Stratagest. IP: Logged |

Another scientist... Looking at the factors, this test seems to be loosely based on the Meyers-Briggs/Keirsey Temperant Sorter tests. Interesting, because on the Meyer's-Briggs I am an INTP (though P and J are nearly equal, as well as N and S), but on this a QEMR (which does nearly match). Here are the equivalents: MB/KTS---------------|IET--------------- E (extrovert) = L (loud) {both people-oriented} N (intuitive) = G (guts) {make decisions based on intuition} T (thinking) = M (mind) {goes by thoughts more than emotions} J (judging) = T (trooper) {rules-oriented} This is, of course, very simplified. So, according to my Meyers-Briggs type, I am actually QGMR (Seeker), which sounds more accurate. "QGMR: Seeker On a similar note, here's a link to a Star Trek personality test based on the Meyers-Briggs. For the record, I am Worf. More info on the various types can be found here, here or here.
