I'm Audrie Ryan. I'm so pretty. I'm kidding. Hey, so life's pretty interesting for me. I'm 16, my birthday's in August, and I live in an apartment complex with my best friend Kutin. He's a real nice guy.
I'm just your average geek, you know, I like internet exploration, reading and writing. I write too much for my own good, so I't good that I've found this sight where I can just express myself in any way. I live for music as well, any kind, so long as it's not any kind of country western talking about Jerry Springer or anything. I'm way too smart for my own good and everyone tells me this. I think too much and when I do its when people tend to freak out on me. I'm a pretty girl and I enjoy the joys of teenage dating and relating, but I enjoy the company of mature audiences more than anything else. People that challenge me and have a good sense of humor make my experience with people much better. As of right now I'm out in my own little world in this dismal city of nothingness searching for someone to spend time with. Read some other posts I've hosted and I'm sure you'll be happy.

I hope not, cause then there might be one of those alternate-thingies, and one thread might become an evil twin of the other, like in Spock Must Die.
Anyway, Hi!

hey Audrie,

so you like reading and writing... me too! I'm always writing something, but hardly ever anything good... ah well, there'll always be a place for me at the checkout in Tesco *sighs contentedly*

btw, don't entirely dismiss country music! Ryan Adams is a sort of country musician and he's amazing!

Everything you write is good, Skylar. DOn't sell yourself short. I don't like the kind of country western that sounds like they're having a seizure. Or yodleing. Wwwww. You sound like a cool guy.

Hey Abhorsen, why the sudden interest? I don't think we've spoken before... Ah, you were obviously entranced by my wit and articulacy, and want to know if I'm young, beautiful and free for dinner Saturday night

Well, neo (mind if I call you that?) you were almost right. Uilleann, you were obviously fooled by my breathtaking maturity and wisdom. I am, actually, *low voice* 16. I know, tiny, right? Well, I'm so nearly 17, and I skipped a school year, so consider myself to be so nearly 18. Ah well. I take comfort in that fact that I'm still older than MacGenius and Twink (he he). And at least I'm not a forty year old guy called Dwayne who likes to play pretend games...

Sorry for the inordinate length of this post. I could have just written 16 and left it at that...

Quoting skylar:
someone wish me luck for my greek exams... failure basically means that i won't get into oxford

sky: I was basing my estimate using my memory of that post. I assumed that you were referring to A-Level exams or equivalent, and that you would be in year 13 and thus 18 or 19.

Maybe you'd care to enlighten us what the actual situation is? ;)

(And for once, I might even understand it - too often do I read about the education system in the US and I still don't have a clue... ;)

quoting uilleann:

I'm a public schoolgirl; my school allows you to skip a year or two if you're clever enough to do so. Apparently, I am clever enough, so I skipped a year and did my AS-Levels this year. I''ve just finished Lower Sixth... I think that's equivalent to Year 12? I was panicking about failure because required grades for Classics are very high (AAA at a typical uni), and to get the requisite number of points on my UCAS form, I'd need to get an A grade at AS. Hope that goes some way towards explaining

quoting Audrie:
My friend just finished her A.A. at a UCLA and she's 17
Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I'm sorry, Audrie, I just done get the American exam system... do Americans even get it?

skylar:
Ah, I follow. Yes, Lower Sixth is year 12. And AS Levels? Harrrr hahaha... sorry :P Just that my sister had to take those. The was in the pioneering year for both the new AS Level scheme, and some new SATs or other. The fact that the AS system got bungled was of no great pleasure to her. I never saw nothing more than ever increasing problems for her at school - bad teachers, bungled lessons, social issues... She's always done very well, though, got much better GCSE results than me, and looks set for good A-Level results.

School was never any joy for me either, I was glad to just leave and never, ever go back. But then, then there is university. Oh, joyus joyus™.

*sigh* OK, I'm outta here before it gets any more miserable. Yep, school sucks neo.

d'you mean girls who skip a year? Not really. They are just more capable. There are very few geniuses at my school... apart from Ellie, and she's just wrong.

sky you never answered me question..
You mean about my birthday? Well, it's October 21st; making me a cuspal Libra/Scorpio (if you believe that crap).

I hate this countries school system...
Try going to an all girls school :/

And no, uilleann, I'm not going to quote you, because three threads take long enough to reply to

Actually, the exact quote is "Hey, you sass that hoopy Ford Prefect? There's a frood who really knows where his towel is."

But then, heh, I do have your book... and you had to dig that quote up from confused, cluttered little brain .

And one more stupidity point fer me: Me old 3rd Rock quote, "Look at me, damnit, I'm your little princess!" - Until yesterday, I hadn't realized I'd spelled 'dammit' with a 'm' instead of a 'n'...

Heeh, but anywho...
