This one is purposfully without purpose. Which reminds me of certian threads that were posted with the soul purpose of drawing these kinds of post to keep other conversations intelligent. Hay, I just made a cool Star Trek red alert siren for my bedroom, I made it out of two NE555N timer IC's and I have integrated it into my linux via a home-made relay card. Its sooo cool, I just type in red alert at a shell prompt and the speaker goes whoop, whoop... How sad am I. No really?  my geek code block: IP: Logged |

Haha, that's great! =) Now, all you need is voice recognition that sounds the alert any time you take off Riker with "Red alert!". Not sure how it would respond to "Shields up!", maybe close and bolt the door? Or power up an electric fence around the house? ;) - uilleann IP: Logged |

lol haha, -I remember when I had a windSOD platform with IBM viavoice on (borg, borg, borg, we wll assimilate you, we are the borg, we are IBM) I said really proudly, after training it on my voice: "Computer start button" -no response, I repeated and it would not work. lol, thats why I'm on Linux now haha: "computer! man ls". Actualy can you get voice recogniton for proper coputers? -one day "computer RED-ALERT. open a hail to the borg ship" yay!!

My god, that is really cool, the Borg being attacked by Microsoftie lawyers. LOL, just goes to show just how powerful Bill Gates is. If Windows can bring down the Borg, then just emaine what Internet Explorer would do. The one weapon Picard, et al, neglected was to defeat the Borg by installing Windows into their main computer. Put the CD in, spend an hour fighting the Borg and finishing the installation, then sit back and wait for the inevitable Blue Screens of Death and blast the cube out of space! IP: Logged |
