So I'm watching the Today show today (duh!), and they had the Hammacher Schlemmer "Hover Scooter" on... $15,000 to go 15MPH!

But I guess if a skateboard or a Razor don't do it for ya...

Anyway, my friend Stef, who made a hovercraft when he was in high school, pointed out that he met the inventor of this craft a few years ago... and they have some "HoverAngels" on their website.

Now those are TRBs!! (Techno-Ridin' Babes!)

If it went like 65MPS, it's be waaay cooler...

Overpriced schlock.

You can build a faster one for a lot less.  Try something like this guy's hack of a Barlett Flying Saucer.

*looks at the pictures*
*looks at them again in disbelief*

Where do you think they managed to find chrome palm trees with chrome coconuts on them? I thought they were painted at first, but they're moved between shots.

Chrome Palm Beach, FL?

Actually, we have a lot of that kitchy stuff down here...

And you thought natural coconuts were hard to open...

Steel Palms give us pinballs. Remember, "It takes steel balls to play pinball". Kudos to the person who can tell me what table that was from.

Anyway, forget the scooters, how much are the TRBs?
