Author | Topic: U.S. Using Nazi Anti-grav Technology? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() There's an interesting book review on today's Salon page http://www.salon.com/books/review/2002/08/05/zero_gravity/index.html It seems that an author who writes for Janes, the military book people has published a book about the U.S. confiscating Nazi anti-gravity tech at the end of WW II. The government then used this tech as basis for development of the U.S. anti-grav systems. Never heard of them? It's a conspiracy of course, because the aerospace industry is all wrapped up in the manufacture and development of fixed-wing aircraft. The reviewer thinks that as a journalist the author should have done a little more fact checking, but I think the book sounds like an interesting read, true or not. ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() sounds like something i would read. I wonder if THEY are behind this somehow. I have read conspiracies that also say the government has some anti-gravity toys. it is possible, who knows......... Nayt ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() TheAnnoyedCockroach: Why does this topic sound like a front-page article in the Weekly World News? It doesn't sound like a front page article for Weekly World News at all. Nowhere near sensationalistic enough. Take one of their current front page stories for comparision... Mr. One Inch: World's Greatest Lover Now, if the story was about Nazi sex slaves researching anti-gravity technology to develop the first space based prostitution ring to capitalize on the alien visitors who are already coming to earth and probing our rednecks... -then- I'd believe it was a Weekly World News story. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Anti-grav is nothing new. The technology is simple and ease to get a hold of in your grocery store. But it isn't called Anti-grav. Its low fat or Pepsi light or low cal. ![]() IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() >U.S. confiscating Nazi anti-gravity tech at the end of WW II Since the Nazi's were not even close in nuclear science (i.e. bomb) at the time that the likelihood that they had anything close to anti-gravity is perhaps laughable ------------------

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A couple of points: If we had anti-gravity tech back in the 50’s and 60’s, why did the US pour billions into conventional rocketry and *still* get repeatedly trumped by the USSR in the space race? One can’t say that the US didn’t consider this a military priority at the time, and anti-gravity would have been a help… Then there’s the fact that theoretical physicists are constitutionally incapable of NOT talking with each other. Just about all of Europe’s best and brightest bolted for England or the US when things started getting really hairy on the continent during WWII, and they all intercommunicated. Ideas in physics rarely come out of a vacuum (zero-point joke) so SOMEONE would have mentioned at least the ideas *leading up to* any anti-gravity theory. Gravity is one of the most-studied areas of modern theoretical physics, with scads of geeks from all nations trying to figure it out… Very few of them work in subterranean bunkers and draw US government paychecks. If there’s a way to manipulate gravity using 1940’s era technology, then it would have been re-discovered it dozens of times over in the civilian world, and there’s no way *THEY* could have kept it quiet. <insert usual conspiracy-theory logic-contorting rebuttal here> Nice idea, but it rates pretty high on my Hooey-Meter(tm.) Max. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Max Heck wrote: I especially like the idea that the stealth bomber uses anti-gravity tech… It begs the question “WHY?” The same thing can be built with straightforward adaptations of known technology. Oh… That’s right… Since the Stealth Bomber was secret for so long, it must have even *more* secret stuff that we still don’t know about. That reminds me of an old project by Lockheed Martin from the early 80's or so... they came up with a plan to build a stealth blimp. Except for the lack of speed, I think such a thing could probably pass for an anti-gravity powered craft in the eyes of most of the uneducated (silent, black, didn't show up on radar, etc). ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() >> And you have no uncertainty at all about this? Well, relatively... I'm taking a fermi stance. It was never a sure bethe in the first place, but It's not like they'll make me walk the planck if I'm wrong. I just find that when approaching particle physics, the dirac-t approach beats being uncertain, so long as you avoid entanglement in dark matters. But my joke seems to run out of momentum for all it's charm, and some might even say there's zero point in my continuing... Indeed, some might even call me a bohr or a bose-o. I say "Feyn, man... Quant 'em if they can't take a joke!"

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() - Max Heck- Nice idea, but it rates pretty high on my Hooey-Meter(tm.) Concur. One particular refutation... - the article - Except for one sniggling detail. Conceded the so-called "stealth fighter" was indeed kept super-squirrel secret for seven years after its initial flight, and while the details of the software that keep the B-2 flying are hush-hush, as are the details of its stealth coating, the B-2's rollout was very public, and its airframe shape and engines are well-known (so "anyone" can verify that it will fly, subject to the control software working). Indeed, not only was the rollout public, months prior there were official "artists concepts" that showed what it looked like ... and as a subtle joke, even before there was any public information of what it would look like, there was the tarmac of the production facility, which was shaped like the top-view of a B-2, with the production hangers at the wingtips. ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I just remembered a program I saw on the History Channel or Discovery about a man that created a castle of sorts out of coral rock. He did the whole thing by himself, but it took twenty years. The program said that he had discovered a method of levitating obects by anti-gravity. Of course he kept his discovery super-secret and the only notes he kept were in a cyrptic code that apparently no one has been able to crack. The place is in Florida somewhere, I think, and it's a tourist spot now. There are things like a giant rock of coral that weighs over a ton that you can spin with just one finger. Has anyone else seen this program? I think the man's first name was Ed, but I can't remember his last name. ------------------ IP: Logged |

His name was Ed Leedskalnin and he built the coral castle in Florida. A few photos such as this one make it pretty clear that there's no anti-gravity involved, just an amazing level of determination and effort from one man. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for the link. I'll go for the determination explanation. In the documentary they explained about the picture in your link. They said he set this up to fool people, because the weight of the rock would have busted the old pulley system shown in the picture. Right ![]() ------------------ IP: Logged |
