That costume is neat as hell, and yes I hope it lasts for years and years cuz $550 is a bit steep for a costume...well at least for me it is. //Thom// IP: Logged |

Yeah that is cool I think when I get an extra $600, cause the boots have to be bought seperatly, I will get one for myself. IP: Logged |

I can't become a stormtrooper--I can't fit the mold. I would've thought that, given the model and the training that the stormtroopers of Episodes 4-6 would have been of better quality. Maybe after the clone war they just started a massive conscription program? IP: Logged |

There's a theory out there that says after Jango Fett left the clone making facility, the clone makers had to use DNA of clones to make more clones, hence the quality went down, hence the not-quite-as-bright stormtroopers of later episodes. copy of a copy theory... IP: Logged |

Kinda like analog VCRs? That theory would also explain why the Imperial army's commissioned officers seemed to be (almost?) exclusively non-stormtrooper. You'll notice that in Ep2, the officers were clones with distinctive helmets, but in Ep4-6, the officers, down to commanders of individual armor units, were not stormtroopers. The only stormtrooper in a leadership position was the guy in charge of the search for the droids on Tatooine in Ep4, and he probably was an NCO. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I wonder if Lucas had the stormtrooper/clone angle from episode 4? Clearly all the stormtrooper voices are different from 4-6. Nice to know the Death Star construction will already be underway in episode 3. The time frame is now just about right for it to be ready in episode 4, although the second one must have been under construction well before 6 to be completed in such a short time. Why wouldn't I be surprised to see other Death Stars still under construction in some outlying area of the new Republic--if there is such? I would imagine there would be many sectors/systems reluctant to give up their own little fiefdoms to rejoin the collective, and one of those planet-killers can go a long way toward conquering other systems. After he finished his storyline, it could be interesting for Lucas to farm out the future stories and keep the video stories coming for decades. The novel franchise seems to do well enough. Wow, that is so cool, but too expensive. And lame stuff they have, not professional. Well, better than nothing, huh? I want Rebel's uniform. (orange one) ------------------ IP: Logged |

hmm. first, ithought: neat - you can actually buy this uniform! But then: Isnt it one of the reasons why them baddies are bad - that they use their people for being unpersonal, faceless (cloned!) soldiers? Wouldnt it be more with the incredible George (TM) to stay in your individualized urban camouflage? Although, I still think as long as its just 4 fun and the majority is still wearing something else, its gotta be fun to have. Enjoy! IP: Logged |
