Yeah at last I have had my last class and it is now time to be tested on such things as how banks and other financial institutions work. Other finals would be things like Biblical Lit., College Algebra, and Managerial accounting. This semester isn't nearly as fun as last semester where I classes like discrete mathmatics and computer science intro classes. But only one more week till I go home for the summer.

I have one more class, and a huge peice of MUD to write, before I even begin thinking about the finals. Good luck on your exams, and wish me luck with the MUD.

It's times like these that I'm glad BYU starts so early. I graduated like 2 weeks ago. (ok, just one and a half, but that means finals have been over for 2).

My classes ended Wednesday. My firsdt final is Tuesday. First time in my entire college career I've ever had a real reading week. They're all spaced out this semester too - social psych on Tuesday, p-chem ion Thursday and molec bio on Sunday, big report for biochem lab due before finals week ends. Last semester i had three finals in 36 hours. Now that sucked!

Tomorrow is my last day of classes - I think my finals start on Thursday, perhaps there'll be one on Wednesday. I'm about to go in and study with a cute classmate (the one I've been doing so pitifully with). The cruel part is that my Parallel Programming final is on Sunday.

D'AHHH!!! You all stink! I'm only in midterms! Our last final isn't until June 13! Stupid Ohio State and its antiquated quarters system...

Ah well. On the bright side, once I'm out for the summer, I'm not back in class until mid-September.

My students are tearing their hair out figuring out solutions to their case studies at this moment. I, however, relax and post inane quips to this message board. Education rules!

Took my physical chemistry final this afternoon. I was there the whole three hours. There were 12 problems. I solved 8, wrote random crap down for the other 4. A lot of my classmates didn't finish either.

Maybe in about 48 hours I'll have the energy to generate some sort of emotional response. All I can say right now is that it sucked and I'm happy it's over.

Just out of curiosity, what's the worst final you guys ever took? Mine's the physics final I took last spring. That test was so hard I almost broke down and cried right there in the lecture hall. This one at least looked like it had some hope; it was just long. Very very long.

The cool thing is that I have A's in Chemistry and Algebra so I don't have to take the finals in those classes! The bad news is I have one to take in Engineering and it is REALLY long... I wish they would have that rule of an A and no final for every class...

For me, it was a history final in Jr. High.  There was an entire page where I did not know a single answer.

You have my sympathies... that Pchem final sounds brutal.

Actually, I'll give you my toughest test, rather than a final. In the middle of my CmLit 310 class we showed up for class one day. He gave us all a stapled test of three pages, told us it was due in 24 hours. Told us to feel free to use the library and each other. We immediately organized ourselves into sections and started looking up answers. 23.5 hours and nearly as many pages of written answers later, we were still scrambling, using at least 3 different computer labs to research and distribute answers, and pulling our hair out. We all freaked out. Many people didn't make it to the professor's office in time with their test. All of us decided to hate our engineering friends who said their major was tougher.

Blessed High School... I have 8 days. 8 more days, and then I have to only take one exam.

'Course, it's the hardest course I have. European History. And I just finished taking the AP test for the bastardly class, too. Now that was hard.

Yeah, but it's all lightweight stuff for you college folk.

Platypus, all I can say is "beware of Greeks bearing gifts," or, to paraphrase, beware of professors bearing open-partner, open-book take-home exams. This usually means he or she wrote something so hopeless difficult that you might as well drop the class. Well, maybe not that extreme but you get my drift.

Tau, the p-chem final resembled your history test in that for a couple problems I wasn't sure if I even understood what they were asking. One covered something that I'm sure the prof never taught. Still, it didn't make me want to cry so I can't call it the worst.

To all the rest of you: I'm done!!! Yes, that's right, I just took my last final, for graduate molecular biology. And yes, I am aware that it is Mother's Day. I think I'll just call my mom and share the news...

I'm finished, I'm finished, no more studying, no more all-night lab reports, no more stress (until September), neener neener neener!

Too bad half my friends have gone home already. I feel the need to celebrate.

I've had take home engineering tests open everything but other people (i.e. notes, books, computer). None were easy. If you got 50% that was considered good.

I walked into one class having completely forgot there was going to be a test. luckily part of it overlapped the last test, and the other part was concept I understood...

I didnt take it, but the EIT (Engineer In Training) is a 8 hour test. many don't pass it the 1st time.

I had to take tests to see what math calss I sould be in. There was also a foriegn language test. Even tho foriegn language wasn't a requirement at UW-Platteville I took the French test anyway. The test was at FLUENT level. I had 2 years of HS French. I didnt know 90% of the words... (hmm, haven't used "b" in a while)

I wont even get into pilot practical tests...

Yes, I finished my finals on Sunday as well. My mother was a bit annoyed that it was then, but I acutally did make in home in time for the lunch/dinner for her and her mother. My last final was on parallel programming, and I just got it back from my professor, and I got 114, so I'm happy.
Regarding a previous post of yours, I had either 3 or 4 finals within 36 hours this semester, depending on how you look at it. One of them was scheduled for 8:30 AM on Thursday morning, but she made it a take-home. However, I didn't do it at home, and ended up wasting valuable studying time for the 11:00 AM final by doing it in school/work from 9AM - 10:50 AM. So I count that as a final for Thursday, in addition to the 2 later that day (but the latter was done in 10 minutes - all on Linux commands and their usage ), and another the next day at 8:30 AM.

Regarding celebrating - I wish I could have celebrated my 'doneness,' but virtually everyone else had left, and I had to go home for Mother's Day (I commute), and later that evening I even noticed that one of my friends had already gone back to the city. If you want to celebrate, come on down - I could use a break from my IT work as well. Well, some of my friends will be coming back from their colleges, perhaps I'll see AotC this weekend (if I can get tickets).

Actually, some of my senior friends who are around until they commence had a little get together last night and I got invited. So I got to kick back a bit before diving into work today.

I called my mom on Mother's Day. The beautiful thing about time zones is I could call after all my exams (it was a night final) were finished and it was still a decent hour of the evening back home.

Got a B in pchem!! That's about what I expected considering how the final went.

My worst final was before I switched to comp-sci... A Keyboard Harmony examine. We go into the prof's office one at a time, and there is a progression (in figgured bass) above a piano staff with only a single voice, and we had to play a four part coral style progession without breaking any voice leading rules (No parallel 5ths or 8va, all voice (except bass) must be within an octave, all vice leading following the patterns of classincal music). Would be easy enough to do with pen and paper, but to sit at a piano and just play it.... SHEESH.

Finals are never that bad for me, but that one was absolutly horrible. Got one final and I'm done... tomarrow at this time I'll be on page three of the exam and then smooth sailing.

Hey well I got my grades back yesterday from all my finals and I must have done ok on all of them because my lowest grade was a B+ in any class. I am happy but now I will be watching my ADD little 2 yearold brother that seems to have some sort of kamakazi streak in him. I haven't realy hung out with him since I started school this past year and now he can do all of this stuff and talk at the same time. I will be watching him myself for 3 days =-( Don't get me wrong I love the guy but it take the whole family to watch him normaly, there are 5 of us siblings and two parents. So to say the leaste I will have my hands full.
