Siemens is showing this virtual keyboard at CeBit. Wicked cool, and (sorry I can't resist) think about the possibilities for cybersex! IP: Logged |

The keyboard is really neat, but it really doesn't solve any problems except for smaller devices like PDAs... If you are carrying a full sized screen, then adding a keyboard isn't that big of a deal. Perhaps when they make afordable headmounted or sunglass monitors that might be a waktable idea. As for cyber sex, I am not seeing where you are comming from. IP: Logged |

GameMaster: It really does solve problems, the blurb mentioned that some of the uses would be places where a real keyboard has problems, like in a surgical suite. A doctor using computer assited tools could have a virtual keyboard on the sterile field. IP: Logged |

There are already other solutions for the medical feild like speah to text... Although, I can see the want and need for the keyboard in such a clean enviroment. My point is that the company that makes it is focused on mobile, and it really isn't a mobile solution for labtops yet (due to screen size. Yes, his mind is in the gutter, and I still don't see how projecting a key board would make CS any better... guess I am jus not that imaginitve. IP: Logged |

Yeah, i am not seeing how this would improve CS. But then again i am just not in that mindset. I am sure zorro could think of some ways. Nayt ------------------ IP: Logged |

The possibilites are virtually endless, though I am not sure if this is really the key to good CS. I think I'll stick to reality.........Z IP: Logged |

This would be pretty nifty. However, I do like typing on a physical keyboard. I don't think I'd like a portrayed images as much. I'm more of an Object-Kind-Of-Guy! ------------------ IP: Logged |

Well, I don't know if quantumfluff found this story on /. or on his own, but some of the omments on /. address the issues at hand well. And macaddikt, you might not want to read this, but those of us who may have out heads in the gutter can get a laugh out of these comments. Now I just have to find someone with whom I can type my long essay. I have to make a point of ensuring the Insert key is turned on . IP: Logged |

Well, just because you said i should not read them i decided to take a gander. The fist link was no good, but the second one worked. All i have to say is that some guys have way to much free time on their hands to sit and think that stuff up. Nayt ------------------ IP: Logged |
