wow, slippery with drool! Dawn made a Nano Tube Communicator, disguised as a tube wrist watch. ![]() That stuff ROCKS!!! Here's the build-one link... sent to me by Ray. Btw, the fresh new printing of Tubes Rocks shirts just arrived... so we now have all sizes in stock. Yay! IP: Logged |

Whoah!! I'm not alone! ![]() I picked up a dozen or so nixie tubes from a surplus place several years ago and have always intended to make them into a radio-controlled clock (using the Rugby MSF signal, for UK electronics geeks). I've got most of the parts, I've just never quite got round to putting them together yet... I might have known there'd be a community of kindred spirits out there on the net! I love weird neon stuff and old electronics. I can remember using Geiger counters at school with dekatrons for the least significant two or three digits and a mechanical counter for the high end. If I ever finish my clock IP: Logged |
