For those who do want to allow cookies and JavaScript in your browsers, but are sick of closing pop-up ad windows, this page may be a boon. It contains a list of links to all the opt-out pages for various Ad Servers. Clicking on each link should disable pop-ups from that particular server. Keen.

Here's the link:
http://technoerotica.net/mylog/optouts.html

I got it from Blogdex:

Thanks a lot ARJ. i hope this works, but if you read the optout pages, it looks like the one for the x10 camera only works for 30 days.

Yeah, those x10 camera ones are especially annoying. And when I surf on geocities pages, they always pop up on others sites.

www.adsubtract.com - go for the pro verison

then there's no need to go to the ads' website, which even then, does give them information they want
no loss of YOUR time to bother with them

it's one of those rare really good applications out there

it just works.

Here's the more perament solution: Grab a copy of Mozilla and disable those popups from ever happening in the first place. Opt out?!? You never asked for the ads to annoy you!

Hey who is paying for all of those x10 adds? I mean dang someone is paying through the nose. I hope they are getting a return on those adds. They must spend 20-30 US cents on me every day advertising those annoying adds. I know if I wanted a good camera I would probably buy it face to face from a real live geek. Not from some dumb ass Start up that is probably run by a suite anyway.
