You need to have known a few rednecks during the course of your life in order to appreciate it. Looks like you have known a few. Washington is a lot like Maine, where I've spent some time. Loggers, hunters & fishermen, lol.

Yes, I grew up in Eastern Washington, farm lands as far as the eye can see. It wasn't till I moved to the Seattle area that I found out there were places without dirt roads. Some of the people I work with now have never heard the term "Washboard Road".............Z

There are places without dirt roads? Really? My biggest thing when buying a house was that it was NOT on a dirt road and that it had town water - so that when the power goes out you can still flush the toilet. Took a year to find this house, of course we do have a septic system that needs to be pumped out... Can't win them all. Lot's of people I know here live on dirt roads and I just hate having to go right after washing the car. Puddles as big as ponds, and just as deep, too! Love that pavement... It really is one of the little things that mean a lot.
