I have one (1) small problem I have TRIED & TRIED to fix. Mac Desktop G3.If I boot-up and go open up Netscape/ or go online all is fine. BUT...if I open and use any program (Appleworks,Quicken, etc.) and THEN try to go online my Remote Access will open WITHOUT any phone number and freeze!! Restart and all will work.
What could be causing this problem when I use something prior to going online??

Check to see if you've got 'Use Internet setup wotsit' (I can never remember the name as I don't use it) ticked in Netscape's prefs. If you just set your remote access & TCP/IP settings manually, the automatic setup can overwrite them, which is very bad if it doesn't have any settings. (I used to get this a lot until I unticked it in Netscape)
