Hmmm, so I was sitting here wondering, "What are other Geeks fantasies?"......so, what are they? Have you ever had one of your fantasies come true? (What can of worms did I just open? :P) I might post some of mine, but ill feel better if I see yours first. ------------------ quote: IP: Logged |

Right now my fantasy is to win the lottery Wednesday night. A $115M jackpot would make my frustrating job go away in a nanosecond! But, with a 5:41.4M chance of winning, well, it's truely a fantasy. Have I ever had any of my fantasies come true? Definitely! IP: Logged |

All right, the #1 fantasy on my list right now (fortunately I can talk about this one): That I will fall asleep at night with nothing on my "to do" list. No shopping, no cleaning, no work, no books to catch up on, no e-mail to catch up, nothing. So that I will just wake up tomorrow with nothing hanging over me from the day before. The last time I fell asleep like that was May 1991. IP: Logged |

I fantasize at getting back at all the jerks who have messed me around in my life, by getting very very successful. Sucessful as in have more money than them, and be happier and healthier, and look better! It would also help if they were to become unhappy, unhealthy and unwealthy. Now if only I can do it!!! Right now my fantasy is to win the RC5 Wednesday night. A $1K+ jackpot would make my frustrating job go away for a nanosecond! But, with a 1:1.2K chance of winning, well, it's truely a possibility. Have I ever had any of my fantasies come true? Definitely! IP: Logged |

Fantasies come true: yes. Current fantasy: get back my way-cool job at MacAddict Current second-place fantasy: move away to some wonderous land where I don't have to work and my girlfriend and I don't have to put up with hateful comments from my disapproving family and we can spend each day doing exactly as we please current third-place fantasy: a good job. 1. Climbing the Ring of Fire. I like volcanoes. They have nice little plateaus on top to sit down and have a snack on. 2. Finding that acetylase I'm looking for and getting published as an undergrad. Getting a goodnight's sleep sometime before May is also high on my list, as is finding time to actually talk to my faculty advoiser about the mysterious process of applying to grad schools. ------------------ IP: Logged |

My Fantasy: To travel back in time about 15 years and invest in Microsoft. Truthfully though, I'd be psyched to get a few grants to get my non-profit off the ground. A few years without responsibilities would be great too. Then I could climb every day...hmmmm ------------------ IP: Logged |

My fantasy is to have enough financial security to never have to worry about money again. I think it's another version of winning the lottery. Being an astronaut is right up there too. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Everybody here likes you and hopes you never leave It sometimes takes a lot of years and the help of good friends to develop a positive sense of self. Some of my own: To be a little more specific than being an astronaut, I'd like to be on the mission for Mars. I'd wish someone would find a way to voyage through the stars before I'm dead. I want to have my house on the 'ruelle des Fortifications' Montreal, Quebec (there are some semi-old buildings, I guess old factories from the first half of the 20th century, five or six storey high. I know *exactly* how to fit it out.) As an extra, I would like to set up an artificial intelligence research lab on the street level of the previous one. And that would help me realize my central-AI-controlled rescue robots. But before than that, I have to get my master and/or PhD. (Oh well, at least the last one will likely come true before the end of the decade...) Almost forgot: I'd like to set up a reading club, life-long membership, with a subscription fee of a hard-cover edition of the member's best book. Enough for now. IP: Logged |

Janeway, TechnoGram, and Stereo rock! I want to be an astronaut, too! But on a more realistic note... I'd like to get into college / get OUT of high school. I'd like to get a job, get myself a nice new computer. Preferably a laptop. Preferably a Toshiba. I'd like to earn my black belt in kung fu! (I'm working on my yellow belt currently... I've got a long way to go) -ajax_r IP: Logged |

I want to end up with the girl of my dreams. I want to be paid to think. I want to ski in a traveller's cloak. I want to travel to Ireland and spend a month in the hills. Still want the girl of my dreams. I want to see Josh again. And not just his tombstone. IP: Logged |

Finish writing a book. Get it published. Win either the Giller prize or Booker. Or both. Have an off-the-grid home in the north-central BC coastal mountains, accessible by kayak. Big, lush garden. Until then, I'd settle for financial security. # IP: Logged |

So many fantasies, so little time. Here are a few of mine: 1. The ablility to understand math. The list goes on and on, but those are my top ten for the moment. Of course, I'll probably have a whole new list by the time that I wake up tomorrow. ------------------ IP: Logged |
