Ok, I know this may sound weird but I am still trying to figure out whether flying kites is geeky or not. I love flying kites and have quite a few at the moment so I was wondering if this fell within the geeky part of my life or the ever present Non-geek side. Please anyone with input on this subject let me know your oppinion. ------------------ IP: Logged |

It depends what sort of kites you fly and what you do with them. Here's a list of kite types and uses and what type of activity/person flies them... artistic kites, made from paper and flown on a single string: New Age Hippy Type Large industrial fabric kites, stretched over kevlar struts that you use to jump great distances or race along beaches in karts: New Age Jock/Thrill Jockey type Chinese/Japanese combat kites: Fighter pilot type Giant kites, built out of scrap polythene, bamboo canes, bits of string and glue, controlled by an unfeasible amount of fishing lines connected to a marionet type control and with a door key hanging half way down the line hoping to attract lightning: definite geeky type hope this helps IP: Logged |
