Today's comic brought back memories of one of my favorite programs-SCTV. The godfather parody where Floyd the Barber wants Opie whacked because he broke Floyd's window and the Christmas episode where Johnny LaRue finally gets his crane shot. The two movie reviewers that rated all movies whether something "Blowed up! It blowed up real good!" I wish Comedy Central or some other station would pick it up. I really miss it. IP: Logged |

SCTV was a great show. I still miss Count Floyd and Monster Chiller Horror Theater. You just don't find gems like "Dr. Tongue's 3-D House of Slave Chicks in Smell-o-Rama" on TV anymore. IP: Logged |

I loved Floyd Robertson and Earl Camembert... and Martin Short's Trudeau and "Brock Linehan" were great too. Triva... did you know that Nitrozac dressed up as Edith Prickley one Halloween? IP: Logged |

I love SCTV; I watched reruns of that show out of CityTV in Toronto when I was a very little girl, and they got even better when I got old enough to understand it. CityTV stopped showing them a couple years ago, though. NBC used to show it late on weekdays, but it got bumped off, and for who? CARSON DALY. Bah, nevermind it, NBC had cut out the cool opening where they threw all those TVs out of that building, that was awesome... IP: Logged |

quote: That was really cool, I loved that part. I also remember another one of my favorite episodes. The Russians jam the SCTV satellite transmission and cut into it with their own. They show off the latest techology in portable TV cams from Russia. It a huge 50's three lens studio cam! The camera man is straining under its weight while Dave Thomas is touting the superiority of Russian technology. IP: Logged |
