I love futuristic people! (as long as they aren't on floating petry dishes). Has anyone noticed the comic-in-comic is a modified version of this comic? I don't even know on what original picture it's based. And some technic stuff: In many ways, OS9 to Apple is like Win3.11 for Microsoft (although the gap between the 2 OSes seems to be more like the gap between w3.11 and XP). The problem is that OS9 (and previous versions too) had bidirectional support for Right-to-left languages (Hebrew, Arabic, Farsi and maybe more?), and OSX doesn't have that, which makes many Middle-east people still stuck with (now dead) OS9.. or more likely: Windows. It's just like an owner of a Volkswagen Polo will brag to a Dodge Omni owner: "Yea, but my dashboard glows in blue" IP: Logged |

Not only that, but the Windows are transparent too! A must for an automobile. IP: Logged |

OS 9's GUI seems a little bit faster, especially with scrolling windows, than OSX. But WAIT! Have you ever had the giddy joy of a OSX app crashing, and laughing, "Haha! It crashed! But my computer is STILL RUNNING!!!" That's a feeling worth a thousand smooth scrolls in 9! =) IP: Logged |

I had the joy of watching a kernel panic pop up on display #3 today. I blame Virtual PC, for that's when these things most commonly occur. But, at least CDs work again after switching IDE interfaces... ------------------ IP: Logged |
