After 6 years of loyal service, a buckle on one of my treasured Doc Marten sandals finally broke (truly a day for mourning). These were the best shoes I had ever worn for any purpose, and I was very sad as I walked down the street and suddenly my right sandal went flying. Fortunately I found a brand new pair of the right size on eBay for only $44 (including shipping) so in a few days I'll have found a replacement. Color me pleased. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Ah yes, I also understand your pain. I am also a fan of the doctor's. Unfortunately they dont retread anymore and I walk it off in about a year. Shoes that hold up well are to be treasured. Personally I prefer their boots though. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Hooray! for Doc's...... It's always nice when you find a company that prides itself on making boots/shoes/sandals that last. A lot of my friends laugh at me for paying so much for shoes, but all I have to do is point out the fact that I usually have a pair of Doc's for more than 5 years. On a side note, I am convinced that Skechers designs their shoes and sandals to begin falling apart within 2 months....I could just keep these things by the bed, and never wear them. 2 months later I could try to wear them and the strap will have eaten through itself... I don't get it, but I do know I will be staying away from those "self destruct sequence" shoes....

I don't like wearing sandals, although I do have about 2 or 3 pairs...I like to be prepared . But I think it's probably because I have yet to discover the perfect-looking foot/feet, which surely are not mine. ------------------ IP: Logged |
