Umm I'd go for Dr Pepper. (: Or white wine .. only because I prefer it to red wine. Although red works better if you wanna color-coordinate it. :D

Someday, we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the

red, i think. after all, you could theoretically pass frozen pizza off as italian food. i usually just go for a manhattan, though, or vodka-and-anything.

Well, beer is the traditional alchohol of choice for pizza, but I'd personally say red. I like red, though, better than white. More variety is seems like. And more flavor.

White wines go with white food (turkey and most fish).
Red wines go with colored meals (Pastas, McDonalds, Prime Rib)
Anyhoo that's the way it worked for me.

Ouch!
Sorry to say this, but if that is the total knowledge learnt about wines, it is no wonder that the American have a bad reputation when it comes to the culinary arts.

Ok I am not a great expert on wines at all, but there are a few things I do know.
Pizza would be a light red wine, italian would be better, a Chianti? Meat would be one with more body, darker in colour, Bordeaux, Ctes du Rhne or Borgogne.
White wines go from dry to sweet and I would never have a 'Chateau Yquiem' with chicken, it it a (very) sweet dessert wine (and bl**dy expensive).

I have out to dinners when at each course we changed wines (and glasses).

As the french would say 'Sauvages'.

It's red wine if you bake the pizza or white if you just suck on it frozen.

There's always the compromise choice: rosé!

Is it an Italian-style pizza (thin crust, stuff like mozzarella, peperoni, olives, anchovies etc on top) or an Italians-would-choke-on-this style pizza (base thick and bready, toppings such as ham & pineapple, minced beef, any cheese other than mozzarella)?

That would include popcorn, right? (It's not easy being sauvage.)

Use a full-bodied red wine. When you take the pizza out of the oven, pour half a cup of wine over it. Light it on fire. Serve.

Personally, I'd go for red wine with a frozen pizza. I'd choose beer or Coke first. Brio is excellent with pizza, "the cola from Italy!"

Hey, it depends on the frozen pizza.

Mr. P's, Geno's or equivalent: Chianti in a basket. Candle optional.

Tombstone or one of the other mid-rangers:
It's red. It comes in a bottle. It costs five or six bucks. (I recommend Talus.)

Freschetta: Rabbit Ridge Cab or another Cali Cab. Peppers require a shiraz for balance, though. You're on your own there.

Wolfgang Puck Frozen Pizza: Order out instead. I mean, c'mon.

Stouffer's French Bread: CheerWine or Blenheim Ale. (Available in the Carolinas.)

I stick by white wine for white foods and red whine with colored foods. Damn straight white wine with popcorn, the more wine the better. And drink the wine right out of the bottle, screw cups.

I can't do that.  Boxes don't have screw tops.

You really cracked me up Tau. The pizza to wine ratio would be staggering with one of those boxes (see the What would your Motivation Be thread)

Maybe it's the popcorn to wine ratio Tau had in mind. You did say the more the better.

In the town I live in there's a pizza place that has a pizza so big that the two times I have bought one I had to either put it in the back bed of a truck or carry it in a car but drop the seat all the way back (and it was still resting under my chin as well as pressed against the front window. Now that's a pizza you could drink a box of wine with! I couldn't even cram the box into the fridge and ended up having to put the pizza in a shoebox.
