I dunno...converting a Wintel woman can always be an exciting challenge...one of the conditions I laid down when we moved in was that her aging 486 was not allowed in the house. It worked. We moved in together in November 1999. In July 2000 I was in New York covering MacWorld Expo, and as we drifted off to sleep the night of my return, the last coherant thing she said was "I want a Snow iMac..." Mission accomplished in a mere 9 months. Not bad, I'd say. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Not a darn thing wrong with an interplatform relationship either. If anything, it'll add to the spice if you both know your respective platform well. Of course, not knowing it well may lead to problems. One girlfriend I had insisted that her Compaq POS with a Pentium 166 was faster than my PowerBook G3/300 "because it runs Windows." Nothing I could say would convince her otherwise. ------------------ IP: Logged |

While i think it would be great to have arealationship with someone of a different platform. (yes it is possible) personalyy i am not going to be so judge mental of the person just because they were fullish to use a computer with windows on it.. In my experence not everyone has a choice what platform they use. Personaly i would like to be in a realationship with a mac using girl, i am not going to limit it to that. Heh I'm yet another mac guy looking for either a mac girl or a girl who will argue with me about platform, but not really get mad. Here's a picture. There are more pictures at http://homepage.mac.com/spacemanspiff22 if you are interested. Something's wrong with a few pictures in my "decent photography" page though, and as of right now I'm too lazy to fix it. Feel free to email me too if you want to. Ti wrote: quote: I've seen one! Let's just call her...party S. Actually, she's a very bitter person, and I stopped liking her a long time ago. She still thinks that I like her, and that I spread malicious rumors about her at school, neither of which is true. I was kind of worried that she was going to try to run me over with her car, but thankfully she didn't see me. IP: Logged |

I still dont know who party s is but I know she must have offered service g to you, right? Heh well I know she will get plenty more chances to run you over. then some angel will find you and bring life back into your lips with one passonate moment but that is just your imagination running wild. you will just wake up get in jons beat up car and drive to his house and watch anime and it will be just as good, not quite but close enough. always ------------------ Sometimes When I listen I Why do I even pretend to IP: Logged |

I think I would rather watch anime on my iMac than chase after women. The anime won't ask me to give it more money than I currently have, and the anime won't complain that I don't call it enough, and the anime won't ask me if I'm mad at 50 times a day. The anime and I are content with the type of relationship we have. Of course, I can't make out with the anime( well I can, but it's just not the same), but that's fine with me. I'm not willing to sacrifice my time and money just so I can make out with a girl. Besides, making out is over rated. Boy, I got issues. ------------------ IP: Logged |

BomberMan21 anime is alot like girls they both take up large amounts of your time you cant get them off your mind you can never get enough you spend endless amounts of money if you ever get sick of one there is always more. But you cant make out with an anime. then again you cant get hurt by an anime either IP: Logged |

wow... ummm... don't give up hope, guys... i'm sure there are some mac geekettes who are available out there. ;-) reminds me of a time some of my guy friends stopped by my place and peeked into my room... i had my laptop by my bed and my imac and pc on my desk. one of the guys (he graduated comp sci) joked around and said, "be still my heart-- a girl with a laptop, pc, and macintosh in her room?" (which i thought was the cutest thing, but he just wasn't my type) aaanyways, like i was saying-- cute mac geekettes do exist.. just be patient. =) IP: Logged |

Gosh... this reminds me of my Geek story. My GF of 5 years had a win 95 x386. No amount of Mac could convince her to switch until a printer driver installation wiped out her system like a jumbo box of handi-wipes. I scrounged up a IIci and 2400 baud modem (!) which was enough to get her online at least. Now she's got an iBook... and myself, a tiBook...

My parents have a mac and I help them out every once in a while... I wouldn't buy one for myself though. The interface is just too unintuitive. IP: Logged |
