Ooh, I wish I could do that. I saw a chiclet and a Cube up close and touched them at Circuit City, but, *boohoo*, Apple doesn't work w/ that store anymore, becuase they apparently couldn't live up to Steve Job's expectations. Not that his might've been to much; Circuit City blowz!! IP: Logged |

The new iMacs are fun. you really need to go find an apple store, as they are great places to play with all the new toys, and talk mac till you are blue in teh face. Nayt ------------------ IP: Logged |

Also, I've found that CompUSA shows off plenty of Apple stuff, that's where I go to play with them. A friend of mine works in an Apple store around Albany, so I know at least one good Apple Store employee. Of course, I love the away message he uses whilst working, "Working at some Fruit company." Yes, the screen is absolutely perfect, but I'm not certain about the rest of the machine. Everything's locked in tight, unchangeable (so sayeth the PC fan/Linux user). BUT THE SCREEN IS BEAUTIFUL!!!! I pulled the screen down to the top of the keyboard, so it hides the huge dome, and looks like a very light original iMac. And I like the black-on-white keyboard - finally we can read the keys. oh my gosh, don't get me started on the screen. I have never seen anything so perfect. It floats, it bounces, and boy, is it sharp. Man, i want one so badly. I guess i will have to live with what i have now. Nayt ------------------ IP: Logged |

I went to Apple store several time each month to see what's new. Sometime, I asked for some help on my iBook's small problem. Staffs are so cool. IP: Logged |

In one of the only Mac stores in Alaska I saw one. It was freakin' amazing. To bad they didn't have any good games http://www.geekculture.com/ultimatebb/icons/icon9.gif. ------------------ IP: Logged |

My wife and daughter stopped by the Apple store in Columbus, Ohio, on a shopping trip on Monday, and they were very impressed with the new iMac! Daughter says that the speed is amazing compared to our G4 400, and the screen size is fine. My wife wants an iPod to walk with, but she is NOT TOO HOT about the $399 price!! IP: Logged |

I've touched the new iMac too. It's really nice, but it was bigger than I thought it was. --iMat IP: Logged |

I love the apple store in columbus. It is a great store. I drove 6 hours to the opening when it opened. I know some of the guys there, but i have not been back in awhile. I know they have some TTB there though. The iMacs are great. The screen is sharp, and it moves. moving screen 10.0 on the coolness factor. Now, if only they had a better graphics card in them. Still better than what the last iMacs had in them. Nayt ------------------ IP: Logged |

Come May 11 we get our Apple store in Atlanta... I'll be getting my first mac shortly thereafter (PC user since the time of the VIC20). Seriously jazzed! Still unsure as to the model, but I will be touching the iMac alot. IP: Logged |

quote: Whaaaa...?! We have an Apple Store here?! Where, where, where?! ::grabs Nayt by the shoulders and shakes him:: Tell meeee!! Yeah, yeah, I know that's what phone books are for. I just had to get in my hysteria quota for the day. Of course, knowing my luck, you probably weren't even talking about Columbus, Ohio...but it can't hurt to look! IP: Logged |
