So if a geek manages to find a girlfriend, ends up having children do you really think that after all that he will want to give it all up and start over again?

As for the eyes thing, well I am a bit like Zorro on this in that I can only look someone in the eyes if they are talking to me, if we are alone in a room.
I have problems filtering out noises and they all come together in one huge babble. So when I am in a crowded room I have a tendancy to turn my head and cup my ear so that I can hear what the person talking to me is saying.

I'm a single dad and I'm sure there are plenty of single geek dads out there even though I don't think I know any others.

I'm not exactly sure what I find attractive. I guess one of the things is somebody who doesn't quite fit in with everybody else. I know the things that attracted me to my current girlfriend/future wife was how unique she was. The thing that got my attention right away was that she was able to listen to somebody while singing her favorite song and still would converse with the person in the middle of her singing (by taking short breaks to talk and then picking up where she left off). I knew she was special when I saw/heard this. Another thing I've noticed is that she is very nice and has a great personality. I only noticed how good she looked after the first week I'd known her (after which I got a little scared but it all worked out). Wow, this is the most I think I've ever posted in these forums. You get me talking about certain things and I never shut up. I've warned you now, you may get sick of it later.

Hmm, let's see...
1. Honest - Yep, looks like honesty is popular.
2. Dreamer - Like it or not, I'm a storyteller. I often ramble about fantasy worlds, alternate history, weird inventions, that sort of thing. A fellow dreamer, who like to create or at least immerse herself in fantasy worlds would be a big plus.
3. Learner - Always ready to tackle new knowledge, like myself. Doesn't matter whether she's ahead of me, behind me, or whatever in any given field, since there's always more to learn. What matter is the quest for, and sharing of, knowledge.
4. Glasses - Apparently I'm not the only one who thinks glasses are cool. I think it's the frames and not the actual lens, because sunglasses seem to work too.
5. Smile - Yes, it seems silly but happiness tends to feed back on itself causing sparks, flashes, and dying redshirts. Oops, got carried away there.
6. Self-Respect - I don't find smoking, drunkenness, piercings, makeup, and other such things attractive. I also have a hard time understanding why anyone would.

hmm...

i've always liked slender (i.e. slender muscular build... so they can't simply be skinny), endearlingly attractive (not gorgeous, but cute in their own unique way) people with a certain aire of mystery about them-- and a slight glimmer of naughtiness in them. ;-)

incredibly intelligent people are okay... but i'd rather it be intelligence in a somewhat intriguing way... i'm always looking for a muse for inspiration.

an appreciation for hardcore punk rock and industrial trance is a good thing...

small eyes, dark hair, light (but slightly tanned) skin, and unique cheekbones are always a plus. ;-) a quiet, natural charisma doesn't hurt.... and it always helps to be a good kisser... and a tad adventurous.

Slender - Strike one
Endearlingly Attractive - Ball one
Air of Mystery - Ball two
Slight glimmer of naugthiness - Oooo swung and foul tip, count is 2-2
Intelligent - Ball three, full count
Music - Damn, swung and missed, could feel the wind in the outfield.

You are outta here....

Nope, just struck out with Miliani

slender muscular build :about 15-16 years of martials training have left me fit, i have a martial artist's build. think a dhalsim look with ryu's fighting style.

attractive:I'm supposedly "gorgeous" but i think i pass for cute.

naughtiness: extremely but it depends more on the situation/place/person.

intelligence: mensa member, Isn't every geek?

hardcore punk rock and industrial trance: i like them a little too much and i like it loud.

light (but slightly tanned) skin: dark skinned(more chocolatey i suppose)

quiet, natural charisma: so i've been told

a good kisser: so i've been told

tad adventurous: into extreme sports. for ex. streetlugeing

except for the tremendous technical foul where I'm not supposed to play because I'm married(and neither do i want to), I think I'm ok. just full of myself today, just one of those days. Actually, I have a couple of single(i think. they date too much, so i never know for sure) friends who're like me so if you're a single geekess from Canada, toronto, I will email you their email address.

He's not kidding about that!

attractive:I'm supposedly "gorgeous" but i think i pass for cute.

Gorgeous, definitely gorgeous. In a "hold-me-cause-I-think-my-knees-are-gonna-buckle-you're-so-hot" kind of way.
Although he can pull of cute too, when he's being a fuzzy wuzzy teddy bear.

naughtiness: extremely but it depends more on the situation/place/person.

You don't want to get on this guy's bad side. Trust me! I know!

quote:
intelligence: mensa member, Isn't every geek?

And an IQ of ... how much was it? J/K, I know *exactly* how much it is, I've heard about it enough.
You are brilliant darling, but you really do brag about it just a little tinsy tiny bit too much sometimes. I guess it's lucky that as opposed to finding it annoying I find it absolutely adorably cute.

quote:
hardcore punk rock and industrial trance: i like them a little too much and i like it loud.

Somebody save me! You used to have a good taste of music darling, what happened?! Just kidding.

Chocolatey, definitely chocolatey. It makes you want to ...
(I probably shouldn't say any more. Definitely shouldn't say any more.)

Charisma - yes. Quiet - I don't know about that. Although he does have the kind of smile that makes you feel like a blushing school-girl.

quote:
a good kisser: so i've been told

I can vouch for this one!!

quote:

A tad adventurous?! More like recless, wild, crazy, sometimes bordering on stupid. You're brilliant darling, but sometimes you can be not particularly wise.

Yes, that's right ladies he has a good sense of humour too, LOL

Yeesh, asking all these tough questions...

Uh... Intelligent. I like smart girls. And...

I don't quite know. Only that I've tended to fall for blondes. But that's not really a requirement. Somebody I can talk to. That's the most important thing.

Judging by his sig, that may have been a necessary clarification, snupy.

Now what was the real topic again? Oh yeah... attractive qualities in the opposite sex. (Ok, started with attractive in girls, but got broadened later...)

Well for myself I find that it depends on the person. I have been attracted to all different kinds of people and it depends on the person. I've dated take-over-the-world brilliant guys, guys that couldn't think their way out of a wet paper bag, guys that were drop-dead gorgeous, guys that would have boosted Quasimodo's self-esteem, guys that would have made Mother Theresa look selfish, guys that probably should have been locked up and heavily sedated for the general safety of the populace, etc. I guess the most attractive quality a person can possess, at least in my opinion, is the ability to interest me. Well, that and not being into commitment, as I seem to have trouble even committing to things like large appliances at this point in life.

Whoa, whoa, whoa...

I'm well aware of her age, marm. And mine own. Let's just... mellow out.

I'm 16... Don't think I'm breaking any laws.

And as for the signature... IT'S A QUOTE!

Sorry to have offended, alarmed, and in any other way disturbed you, Snupy.

Actually, it wasn't you I was worried about-you seem wise beyond your years.

Wise beyond my years... Hmm, yeah... I like the sound of that.

The biggest problem with wisdom, though, is that many times it comes from unwanted experiences.

But I shan't discuss that now. What I will say is that I apologize for my somewhat angered post directed at you, Snupy. I wasn't aware you were speaking of others.

Lets see... What do I find in a girl to be attractive? Well, first of all, she has to be honest. Also, she needs to be smart too, and will let me do what I want to do and vice versa. And she can also not talk my ear off! Done!

That's ok, Cockroach. I felt badly that I offended you-I'm glad you know that it was not my intention.
