Millennium Falcon: Owner's Workshop Manual review and giveaway!

Looking for the ultimate gift for a Star Wars fans? Look no more! Introducing the Millennium Falcon: Owner's Workshop Manual!

Piloted by Han Solo and his trusty Wookiee copilot Chewbacca, the Millennium Falcon is one of the most-loved spaceships ever imagined. It appears in the original Star Wars trilogy, The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and Solo: A Star Wars Story. It even made a cameo in Revenge of the Sith! This Haynes Manual is based on the YT-1300 Corellian freighter, the best-known variant of which is the Millennium Falcon. And in case you don't know already, the geeks at Haynes Publishing have been creating the gold standard of workshop manuals since 1956, which was a long, long time ago, in a galaxy not so far away.

The book is gorgeous, informative, and such a fun read. If you're an owner of a YT-1300, it will save your ass again and again. I mean, did you know that you have to properly maintain the hyperdrive to prevent energy fluxes that may bleed into the Quadex power core, as such power surges may send faulty signals to the fuel-distributor, and trigger poisonous gas leaks? And here I was blaming that smell on my Wookie!

The manual combines the most thorough technical description of the YT-1300 currently available, with brand new cutaway illustrations and photographs. Here's a few looks inside...

Contents!

Engineering section!

Piloting tips!

Hyperdrive schematics!

When it comes to spaceships, size doesn't matter!

The manual is about 19 bucks from Amazon. We're also giving one away on Patreon! I know you'll love it. I know the Star Wars geek you're giving it to will love it. Note, the manual does not require you own a modified Corellian Freighter, but it's a great book to have around, as you never know when you might win one in a sabacc competition!

A Day to Remember

the poppyToday is Remembrance Day here in Canada, and in many other countries around the world.

Every year on November 11, Canadians pause to remember the men and women who have served, and continue to serve our country during times of war, conflict and peace. We honour those who fought for Canada in the First World War (1914-1918), the Second World War (1939-1945), and the Korean War (1950-1953), as well as all those who have served since then.

Each year, millions of Canadians wear poppies as a symbol that they will never forget, and to honour those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. You can read more about the poppy and its significance to remembering the war dead here.
