WHOO Boy. This may become a hot button issue.

An elevated PSA does not mean that, that person has prostate cancer only that the prostate is enlarging. Usually the PSA is repeated or a PSAD is ordered. PSAD tests for three different antigens not just the PSA, at that point the patient is asked to bend over, watch out for two hands on your shoulder. The next test is the biopsy, this hurts, a lot. A negative biopsy does not mean that the patient is out of the woods just that none of the core samples proved positive. One third of biopsies provide false negatives.

One core sample positive is proof positive of Cancer, now how aggressive is this cancer?

There are five accepted methodologies for treatment, do nothing and watch, treat with female hormones, nuke it, freeze it, cut it out.

Mine was an aggressive cancer, and I had it removed, and as I read the medical news I often wonder IF I MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE?

let put it this way, oyu made a choice, which was one of these choices people have to deal with in their life where once you made the choice there is no choosing the other way and no way of ever knowing what would have happened with the other choice.

Even with my few years I know that is life.

Oh that I know, however today I may have waited more than I had.

Also every thing that they said might happen did happen, "In a small number of cases this will happen." Well I got every negative outcome except death.

When it comes to the big C, I'm all for erring on the side of caution.

I've had 'Cancer surgery' that turned out (in hindsight) to be unnecessary, twice, and life with half a thyroid hasn't been entirely trouble-free, but I'd rather be bitching about an unnecessary op than sharing a room in the afterlife with Steve Jobs (although that would be pretty cool).

If you watch 'The History Of NASA' backwards, it's about a space agency that has no manned spaceflight capability, then does low-orbit flights, then lands on the Moon.

Right on the heels of an announcement that daily multivitamins are linked to (relatively) early deaths in women. Whatever will the supplement industry do?

I would guess that they willmake some other extrordinary claim about what thier supplements do to counteract death.

this supplement companies is supported by the local christian tv channel where I grew up. Claims there snake oil ( or did in '95) helps cure cancer.

It just annoys me so much how many millions of dollars must be spent to prove a new drug. But as long as your are relatively certain your oil does nothing, you can call it a supplement and say it helps cure whatever.

or maybe the women weren't taking the supplements right. The god channel ( lesea broadcasting south bend IN) recomends you take teh following supplements. ( god wills it).

Suggested Usage of Supplements

Before breakfast, on empty stomach, take Hyssop Cleanse 2 tablets with glass of water.
Morning (best when taken with breakfast)
1 Co-Q-10
1 Borage Oil
1 Solu-C
1 Vita E-400
One ounce of Mineral Rich
1 Amino Acid
2 Vita-Sprouts
1 Antioxidant
1 Multi-Enzymes
1 Garlic Tablet
Now, if this seems like too many to handle take the first 5 and then take the remaining five at snack time in the mid-morning. It is better to take supplements with food as they are absorbed easier.
Lunch
1 Folic Acid, let dissolve on tongue before lunch or whenever you want.
1 Solu-C
1 Amino Acid
1 Vita-Sprout
1 Antioxidant
1 Multi-Enzymes
1 Garlic Tab
In the mid-afternoon on an empty stomach you could take the Enzyme Ease, 2-5 tablets.
Dinner
1 Vita-Sprout
1 Multi-enzymes
2 Flax Seed Capsules
1 Solu-C
1 Vita E-400
2 Probiotic
During the evening or at bedtime take 2 Hyssop Cleanse with a glass of water.

In 1970/80 Vitamin "E" was suppose to thin your blood, and do what viagra does now. I do know that the blood thinning part was true, however it did not impart viagra like effects. Then came Saw Palmetto it was supposed to harden your nail.

Which is actually not that far off my mom's self-conceived supplement regimen.
