At the risk of getting flamed for necro-threading a topic from nine years ago... what music is tickling your earballs at the moment?

For me, it's The Cottars -- 'I Know Who is Sick'.

I'm tempted by this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Before-Fall-Various-Artists/dp/B004IT0ZPE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1300996548&sr=8-1

But commuting is all podcasts ATM.

_____ Right now I am hearing the cooling fan on the Mrs' computer and the draft fan on the house furnace as it prepares to start. Whoops now I can only hear the circulating fan as the furnace is in run mode.

I listen to Radio FIP quite a bit. I like how they mix it up.

So 'twas just listening to some ahem, garbage, [*cough*] and then hit Next a few times. Radiohead - My Iron Lung always works for me -- especially since it's off the kickass EP, which I got for a song when Virgin Megastore closed shop.

...and now back to ICND1 reading...

Druidling V1.0f is learning the viola - not sure the result could reasonably be called 'music'.

Well, being 22 years old, I finally have discovered the show, The Big Bang Theory, kinda watching it but mostly listening to it while I do my work.

Got to say, 2 minutes into the Pilot and I was in love.

Hopefully she'll stick with it long enough to treat you to this (I could never do that, BTW, and not for a lack of trying...but I did learn this).

And digging that up has inspired me to listen to Schumann's Marchenbilder...

ETA: This is another fun one. In the linked recording it's being performed on a violin (in fact, I'm pretty sure that's what Mussorgsky wrote it for), but violists can play it too, just knocked down one fifth. It's a blast. I'm so totally out of practice I can't even get it right at half this speed, but it was a total trip when I could do it.

Violists of the world, unite! Awesome, TFD. Just make sure she has a decent instrument. It makes practicing much more exciting for the student.

i'm listening to Graeme Malcolm read M.C. Beaton's Hamish Macbeth mystery, 'Death of a Maid.' it's five disks, and i'm on the fourth. That's how much time i spent in my car on monday and tuesday!!

Chris Rea - The Road To Hell. This whole financial crisis mess might have been avoided if more people listened to that song [devil wand]

And all the roads jam up with credit
And there's nothing you can do
It's all just bits of paper
Flying away from you
Look out world take a good look
What comes down here
You must learn this lesson fast
And learn it well
This ain't no upwardly mobile freeway
Oh no, this is the road to Hell
