I am so pleased! I hope her recovery goes smoothly and that she is peeing up a storm. [Smile]

Will you be able to meet the donor's family?

The donor is Mrs Druid's mum, and she's doing quite well thankyou.

Well, the weekend hasn't gone quite as well as we'd hoped.

Mrs Druid has some persistent bleeding, and she's been subjected to all manner of medical investigation while the doctors try to stop the bleed.

The quacks are confident they can fix this, and assure us there's no serious danger, but our hopes of a quiet, restful weekend have been dashed. [Frown]

Update:

They operated last night, and are confident they've fixed the bleed.

Mrs Druid was looking much better when i saw her today.

Mrs Druids mum went home from hospital today, and is being fussed over by Clan McDruid-in-law.

I'm knackered. I'm off for a quick afternoon nap before the druidlings return from their day out with friends.

____ TFD, Again I am going to ask you to give her a gentler hug. The pressures on the family must be huge, be strong. The chillens need it.

Mrs Druid looked much better today.

Now that they're not poking and prodding and scanning to find the mystery bleed, she got her first proper nights sleep since the op. It's worked wonders.

TFD - Great news!

Let's hope that Mrs Druid's recovery will be swift and you can all get back to some kind of normal life.

Mrs Druid continues to improve visibly each day, she was quite bright and chirpy today, and coped well with the hordes of Clan McDruid and Clan McDruid-in-law visitors who dropped by to wish her Solstice Greetings.

I'm declaring this round a win - on points - to Clan McDruid and the Evil Socialized Health System.

Mrs Druid just had a talk with the doctors, who reviewed with her the latest test results.

They're very pleased.

She's showing zero protein in her urine, for the first time in 8 years, and all the other test results are very good. It looks like the new kidney is doing very well.
