I'm taking a break from studying for my Social Psychology midterm. The teacher is holding it on a Saturday morning at 9am. Stupid online classes... [shake head]

Watching Casino Royale via Netflix.
(Now, if only my brain worked enough to remember watching it in the theater...I think I saw it with friends, but it's a blur...)

Hint, it's not a fancier version of a 1/4er w/cheese. ;P

I'm far too burned out to do anything else. [Razz]

Awesome. [Smile]

I'd be very worried if someone didn't get that reference.

OTOH, it was pretty sad the other day when I made a 'his name is Robert Paulson' comment aloud, and it fell on deaf ears. :/ I thought the main person I was addressing it to would have grokked it, but apparently not.

Now then, back to martinis and baccarat...

Chill out, hunny bunny! [Razz]

/me figures geekgoddess knows any and all quotes in the dragon's head, and he should just quit...

At the very least, it says my taste is movies can't be all bad. [Razz]

So...I suppose you've listened to K-Billy's Super Songs of the 70's, eh?

Certainly not all. [Wink] Somehow I always end up being the person who makes random/obscure references to movies, music, etc (or picks them up) and usually I just get the pity-laugh because no one has any idea what I'm talking about. Occasionally, though, someone will pick it up and for some dumb reason I get so excited. lol.

[Hint: I hit the page a little before, but refreshed before posting this...]

I suppose this is my penance for making a silly remark in a thread Steen had fun in the other day? :sigh:

Which is arguably why I haven't managed to shut up tonight. It is quite nice to find such quotes recognized. [Big Grin]

Groovy...as am I.
I admit that was a bit of a terse one, but honestly, 'twas the only thing I could think of that wouldn't be a Mr. [insert-color-here] comment.

Oh...and I'm not actually that good at quotes. [Razz]

Far better than most! Literally, almost no one gets my allusions, at all. I was watching something the other day where they made reference to a codpiece and I, being me, giggled. My roommates looked at me like I was an idiot and then I had to explain to them first off what it is, but also how I know about it at all (Shakespeare) and felt like the biggest nerd on the planet. LOL.

I'm actually going to head off to bed. I've been up since 6 this morning, worked all day, then came home and made dinner for my roomies, studied and now I'm TIRED.

Have a pleasant rest of your evening. [Smile]

Oh, come now. Whilst my first thoughts wouldn't go to Shakespeare, but rather Blackadder...I can't imagine not knowing that.

Isn't it ironic?

How do you make it through high school without ever learning, one way or another, what a codpiece is? And how do you ever manage to talk about codpieces without giggling?

Thank you! Gosh, I felt like the only person who knew what that was. And, I had the giggling fit first, then explained. LOL.

My daughter came over for a visit. yay!. My ex-husband and his wife were planning on a drunken to-the-death scrabble game.

i will have to tell my daughter about this site. With geek on both sides of her family tree it may help her come to terms with her genetic heritage.

Friday night: made sure something I fixed in the afternoon was still fixed, went home, ate, did housework, bought groceries, vegetated.

Saturday: cleaned off my desk at home, filed my taxes, nursed the resulting headache, went to work.

But hey, I e-filed. No lines at the post office for me!

Went Golfing at 3pm then drove 2 hours to San Diego sometime around 7pm. Got there and the girl I was supposed to be meeting at the bar was drunk off her ass before I got there.

I brought her to her mothers house here in town, another 2 hour drive, got her to her sister and put her to sleep.

Went to my boys house shortly thereafter, by this time it was already 1am. Played Halo 3 for a little while then busted out the Tequila and Vodka and started going shot for shot.

I was plastered by 6am when we tried to start playing Halo again. Didn't work to well.

Passed out on the floor about 7am and woke up today at 2pm.

Interesting night for me. Now I'm headed over to my cousins party.

Friday night:

Thought on going to play Wii with friends but instead got trapped in a web browsing loop in the Mathematics dept. basement until 10:30. Enjoyed some double plays of my favourite artists on the radio 'til 1:30... quite a lousy Friday.

Saturday morning:

Mom arrives to visit me, have breakfast, take a nap.

Saturday afternoon:

Met mom's uncle, had lunch with them, have some coffee at Dunkin' Donuts. Get on the bus to family friends' home, got assaulted with a knive and stolen my cellphones on the bus stop after getting off the bus.
Reported the assault to the police, found out one of the assaultants had already been arrested before but got released after there was no legal action against her.
Went to family friends' home. Got trapped in web browsing loop.
