I killed the lizard toy. It is a flea market lizard that you put in water and it swells up a zillion times its size. It is in actuality pretty impressive.
It was sitting on the counter in a cut open milk jug with its friend, swelling octopus. DM really likes them even though you can't really play with them.
So in my mom role, I decided it was time to change the water. I don't know if swelling animals have a life span or it was that the water was warm.
It was death to swelling animals time. They shed their painted skins and now you see this ghostly spongy interior with big gaps missing. It is actually kind of creepy and fascinating.
Had to apologize to DM. She was a little upset but was distracted with a cheese stick pretty easily.

I think it's the warm water. I seem to recall one of the clublets caused the death of her swelling dolphin that way.

Thank goodness for cheese sticks though! [Smile]

I think they got banned here in the UK. The worry being that if a child managed to swallow one of them the results of it expanding to giant size in their stomach would generally be bad.

It takes a while for them to swell up all the way, but must admit that paint aside, a giant lizard wouldn't be fun to poop. Probably set potty training back years. [Smile]

Yes, I know the day is coming that major traumas won't be eased with cheese sticks or black licorice. sigh Actually wish my major traumas could be eased with a cheese stick and licorice. LOL

A couple months ago one of my friends got my gay teacher one of those. It was a frog and it slowly turned into a prince.

The amount of anatomy jokes made that week was amazing.
