Dec. 8 Pretend to be a Time Traveler Day

You must spend the entire day in costume and character. The only rule is that you cannot actually tell anyone that you are a time traveler. Other than that, anything's game.

Among the suggestions if you're pretending to be from, say, a dystopian future: "Walk up to random people and say 'WHAT YEAR IS THIS?' and when they tell you, get quiet and then say 'Then there's still time!' and run off."

I once knew a guy who had a fantasy about driving a classic sports car into a garage forecourt at speed while wearing old style white coveralls and a "flying helmet", whipping up the bonnet, changing the spark plugs, slamming the bonnet back down, jumping back in and tearing off at speed...

Why I have no idea... but he was one of those guys who always seemed a bit "born out of his time"

Make sure your costume is warm and waterproof, if memory serves, December 8 2007 was a very cold and rainy day.

Anyone else remember "The Flip Side of Dominic Hyde" and the sequel "Another Flip for Dominic" ?

BBC drama from the 80s

Oh well - it was funny at the time...

And yes - December in the UK is usually cold and wet and sh*te... So chose something sensible [Big Grin]

That is funny think about, but I doubt I could do it. I'm too much of an introvert and a terrible actor.

Ah yes I remember Dec. 8, 2007. But I'm not tellin'. The last time I did everything got messed up and I had to go clean it all up to get it back to the right timestream. [Razz] [Big Grin]

That is such old news.

Pretend you are a Time Traveler day was cancelled on December 7, 2014 and was never celebrated at all, all the way up to the end of the world, which was on ...

Oh, sorry.
